"Because of our amazing, knowledgeable guide, Alejandro, wonderful driver, Carlos, and insightCuba’s carefully planned itinerary, our small, cohesive group glimpsed Cuba past and present. We witnessed artists working with youth to nurture artistic and cultural expression through dance, voice, and visual arts. We were introduced to Cuban music and the country’s cuisine and drink, dining in small, family-run restaurants, and as guests in a home. We learned about the distinctive architecture and history of Havana, Trinidad, and Cienfuegos while walking their streets with Alejandro. We got an idea of what life was like in Havana in its heyday and what life in Cuba is now, its best and worst.

Our small group size permitted us to interact with Alejandro and the Cuban people on a more personal level than would be possible on a large tour. It allowed for unexpected moments – engaging with a street vendor and a spontaneous lesson on rolling ci**rs in a store. Our guide, David, was delightful, incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about his job, a great dancer and full of other surprises. Our driver, Ente, was always on time and very good company as well. We could not have been in better hands.
