Probably our last walk on the beach here on the Sunshine Coast...will we miss these beaches? Absolutely not, you should see what we are going to..๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ

Due to the way everything has ended up, Rick didn't have to work today so we were able to sleep in, a sleep in for us is till 6.00am and that's a real sleep in for us especially as we are camping on our lounge-room floor as we have most things ready for our truck on Tuesday morning.

Our walk was on Peregian Beach this morning was awesome and look at those clouds..๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿคญ.....amazing as I just love the different cloud formations that we get to experience and totally can't wait for many new ones in our forever home of Tassie.

After tonight there is only 4 more sleeps before we drive down to Brisbane. We can honestly say now that this time next week we will be in Tassie permanently!!!!

I will upload a video of the area that we will finally be when we get to move into our house very shortly so you can see the absolute beauty of where are going to...๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

PHILOSOPHERS FALLS IS A FUNGI ADVENTURE:

Our friends took us to Philosophers Falls, simply amazing, we didn't make it to the Falls but as our hunt was to find beautiful fungi in an absolutely amazing enchanted forest, photos don't do it justice but by the eye, it is full of this beautiful forest which is think with moss everywhere!

We decided to go on a 'Fungi Find' where there are these stunning fungi of all colours, shapes and sizes. Unfortunately we didn't get to see a blue mushroom one but we were still not disappointed.

Rick and I are 'extremely' happy and so looking forward to arriving in Tassie tomorrow night. I personally am ecstatic about hopefully getting to where a beanie in Summer!!!....๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ

We both had an extremely busy year and looking forward to closing completely over the Christmas and New Year break.

One of our main workers Ryan, became a Dad for the first time also today so it's all happy times for all of us over the next 2 weeks or so and a well deserved break.

It's funny when you are breaking for a complete holiday especially something like Christmas where we have never shut our business before, only having the public holidays off, always been here for emergencies, your body must know it and starts collapsing with exhaustion, relief and happiness....๐Ÿคฃ

Tomorrow, we are out of here, with abscess on tooth, antibiotics and all.....โœˆโœˆโœˆโœˆโœˆโœˆโœˆ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Bring on the cooler weather!!! I have 3 beanies packed and I'm wearing them no matter what...๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ

Natural Arch at Springbrook National Park. Worth the walk in that's for sure. No swimming allowed which is great because I think us humans would spoil the ambience this beautiful waterfall brings.

Arriving at The Mouse Houses right in the heart and depths of the Springwood National Park deep in the rainforest at our little timber cabin for the weekend with its own rock pool outside and hot tub on the balcony just above the rock pool.

There has only been one downside if you could call it that and that is the Green Grocers (cicadas) are extremely vibrant at this time of year and to be precise, they are deafening most of the time here + we have been bitten by March flies here which can be quite a nuisance apparently.

The theme here is 'Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs'. Our timber cabin in 'Snow White' and is certainly in the heart of the rainforest with lots of Kookaburras and birds singing as well, that's if you can hear them over the cicadas!!

Our signal is not the best but it's doable while we are here. Totally exhausted from the week of work (not unusual..๐Ÿคญ) we managed to do 10.5 hours sleep in the rainforest last night which we must have needed.

FUNNY STORY ON ARRIVAL:
We got to our cabin and just had eaten dinner. All of a sudden, we heard what sounded like ladies high heel shoes walking right around our verandah!!...๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ we thought, whose is coming to see us OR who is walking on our verandah without our permission OR has someone gone to the wrong cabin...(we were in our PJ's and didn't want to be disturbed...๐Ÿคฃ) Guess what? It was a dirty old bush Turkey helping itself on our verandah - probably does it all the time!!! We could have sworn it was a human....๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ

He's Such A Good Boy:

Always learning but we have to say that this drone is amazing and totally does what it's told - Rick has had to press 'HOME' numerous time because sometimes we can't even see it or hear it to even know where it is, especially when you are over water or land that is the same view you see on your phone on the monitor, therefore on our screen it all looks the same so you can become a bit disoriented with which way you are asking it to come back.

I must say that it beeps when near trees to alert you also and so far, we cannot fault this lovely drone....it's just us humans who have to get it together to fly perfectly....lol

We are having a weekend end away with friends (2 missing due to covid quarantine reasons - ridiculous!!). Such a gorgeous spot up on the mountain with fresh air, space around us, rainforest and great company with lots of laughs all the time....we have a beautiful King bed upstairs with a gorgeous outlet as one of our walls has one huge window in it looking out down in the loungeroom and then out a huge window to a gorgeous valley that we back onto.

Today we are skywalking, eating and coffeeing and some of the most gorgeous places with spectacular views and doing the Gallery Walk. Tomorrow we have some exciting stuff to show you what we get up to, but you will have to wait to then to see it.....starts with 'A' though....๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

Today I need to find the 2 Saint Bernard dogs in the chalet next door apparently......๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•

DOORS OFF!!!!!!

Our very short stint with an extended long weekend here in Hervey Bay relaxing and playing with Rick's drone and photography was all going to add up to a fabulous weekend of fun and exploring!

Today we went on the with Nathan & Aimee. A really really nice couple who are giving it a go and who have moved up here from Victoria to start there own business. Nathan has been flying helicopters for 14 years and he did a superb and smooth job of taking Rick and I out over the water to view Hervey Bay from a completely different perspective. Didn't disappoint!

Meeting up with wonderful friends for coffee tomorrow morning at 10.00am who also happen to be in Hervey Bay, they are from Victoria and have been cruising up the coast and now on their way back and we happen to be here at the same time....lol

We met these guys when we were in The Kimberleys about 4 or 5 years ago, so it will be awesome to catch up.

Tonight we are taking Mr. Drone up in the air at Point Vernon and to hopefully photograph a good sunset but not sure how that will be as there is no clouds...that's boring to me..๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ

In the meantime, we enjoyed our helicopter experience over Hervey Bay....

Helicopter = Doors OFF (only way to go) ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—
If your up this way, please make sure you support them with a flight......guaranteed you will love it at Great Ocean Helicopters

Tangalooma Island Desert Safari:

He did it! 35 metres high with no marks on the sand until we walked on it...๐Ÿ˜† only 10 in our group, so really awesome that we didn't have to fight crowds (we are not crowds people)..

I piked out 1/2 way up and decided to take photos of this beautiful place with amazing skies that had these gorgeous designed clouds all day...

I remember this so well, our time in Singapore 18 months ago and I wanted so much to see Flamingos! I was not disappointed as there were hundreds and hundreds of them at Jurong Bird Park. They certainly looked so graceful and all in pink with their long legs gracefully walking through the water. I loved it and would go back tomorrow to revisit. The whole park was amazing with gorgeous rare and exotic creatures in the bird family.

It's really sad but exciting when your 3rd born child Daniel & his long time partner Diesel who is 15 and can hardly get around, embarking on a trip for who knows how long for around Australia. He doesn't know where he will end up at the end, he may like WA?? All he knows is that it is his time to explore our country with no pressures behind him and to be 'free as the wind'....First stop is Inskip/Rainbow Beach for a couple of days and then heads north to............

At least he thought of his Mum & Dad, to come and stay the night and who fed him up really well and packed his lunch for today (reminded me of the school days...lol)

It sad when we think that we may not see him for 12 months, 24 months, or however long! All we know is that he will have the best time on his adventures and we pray for Gods protection over him, Diesel and the Landcruiser and who knows, Rick and I may be able to fly somewhere within Australia if he is near an airport to see him at some stage. He's always been our 'outback' boy - loves horse riding and all animals and dirt bikes and motorbikes....he'll probably end up on a farm out in the sticks ranching somewhere dirty!!.๐Ÿ˜˜

Yesterday, our 'coffee gangs', all met up for my belated 'your choice to do what you want for your birthday' day - I had chosen Australia Zoo...it was about 6 weeks after my real birthday but because of the rainy weather, family bookings, school holidays, we didn't make it until today....BUT today marks the first time Rick and I had even been to this place after all the years we have lived up this way! It was an amazing place to visit, so absolutely clean, the pens for each of the animals are perfectly done with immaculate grounds, all the animals look so well looked after and it would be a fantastic place to take visitors for sure...the benefit we had yesterday and even though there was a lot of people, there was NEVER a time that you struggled to take any photos because of the crowds and to be honest, having the borders closed and no international travel was in our favour for sure....

HINT: Carry a back pack and take your lunch with you because even though it wasn't at full capacity with the crowds, the line up to get your lunch was pretty horrendous, so save yourself some time and waiting to get fed. There are plenty of stations all over the park to get drinks, snacks and ice-creams...

FAVORITE ANIMAL: Meekats & Giraffes
RECOMMEND ? Absolutely 110%)
We'd go back again for sure!!!

During this time in isolation from people, it is a great time to reflect forward on the positive things rather than focus on so much TV and social media that just loves to dwell on negativity. Talk about putting 'fear' into everyone and boy the news just dwells on the negativity. I wonder what they're going to talk about when all this is over???

My husband and I were thinking while it's terrible for a lot of people and our hearts go out to all these people, but the positive side to all of this is all the pubs, clubs, nightclubs, brothels, gambling and all the really horrible places and sleezy joints are shut down...now that is a positive step! How many rapes have we stopped, how many fights have we stopped outside pubs and nightclubs, how many break up of marriages have been saved?

In all of this there is only one person that we need to look to for hope in the future and that is Jesus!

LEST WE FORGET- 25TH APRIL, 2020

Well, I can't remember my Dad as he left my mum when I was two years old....therefore, my only memories of a father was my wonderful Father In Law (Ricks Dad), who was a very special part in my life from the age of 15. He was my mentor, friend, Father In Law, comedian (hence where Rick gets his weirdness from and his acting from his Mum), I absolutely loved going around to their house to have a 'cuppa' and to spend time with him...Dardy, we honour you and your incredible mates that fought bravely for our country and with what you went through with in WWII with Changi, Burma Railway and Japan. Your will to survive and come back to your beautiful woman (Ricks Mum) and to have 4 kids...incredible determination..โคโคโค

THANKYOU...now I have one of your wonderful makings, your son Rick forever!! There will always be a part of you in our family...โคโคโค
