It’s been a couple of weeks now since @remote.la in Puyehue and we are buzzing from this incredible event.
This community of passionate travel designers and exhibitors shared their love for Latin America tourism on morning meetings, hikes, cooking classes, ice cream making, cocktails, as well as during breakout jam sessions, late night bowling and while indulging in Chilean wine! The Remoters also took advantage of @hoteltermaspuyehue’s thermal pools to get some downtime in between activities and meetings.
It’s hard to put in words what makes this event special, so here’s the Kusini highlight reel of the 2024 Remote Immersion in Putehue Chile!
Aaron Gekoski (@aaron_gekoski) is an internationally-acclaimed environmental photojournalist and film producer, who has been documenting our complex relationship with animals for more than 15 years. His work has also featured in most of the top photographic competitions, and he was awarded the 2024 Environmental Photographer of the Year award by Prince Albert II of Monaco.
He recently returned to Hwange and spent some time with Mark Butcher and @imvelosafarilodgeszim documenting the drought and its effects on the wildlife. As always, his images are incredible and they captured the pure essence of what was unfolding. Thank you, Aaron, for these epic photographs of our Hwange elephants!

Leopard vs. Pangolin
A truly once in a lifetime sighting (an often overused phrase!). For many people a Pangolin is the holy-grail of rare African mammals. For many others a daytime sighting of a relaxed leopard can take many safaris to achieve. Imagine the chances of this encounter for our guests at Musekese Camp on a morning game drive with both at the same time 😳

Green Season with @imvelosafarilodgeszim in Hwange National Park is magical!
During November the park undergoes a vibrant transformation, as every corner bursts into life in new and astonishing ways. The African bush awakens in a blaze of colour and life as the rains descend. It’s the time of year when Victoria Falls roars at its fullest, migratory birds grace our skies, and the plains are transformed into vibrant artwork adorned with fresh waterlilies.
The elephants are overjoyed, embracing the opportunity to take a dip, energised by fresh water and greenery. 🐘💦 Birds and butterflies, hidden during the dry season, burst forth in a symphony of hues and young animals, frolic playfully and clumsily across the plains with their herds. After a busy day of exploration and an incredible green season sunset, you can retire and drift off to the soothing sounds of the bush outside your room.
This season cannot be expressed adequately in pictures and is one best felt and experienced. Take advantage of our exclusive offers and experience the magic of the green season with us.

What better way to celebrate your guides than to paddle with dolphins on the Sea of Cortez!
Last month, several Todos Santos Eco Adventures (TOSEA) guides completed an epic 10-day, end-of-season paddle from Loreto to La Paz. Skills, knowledge, teamwork and FUN were the themes, but it turns out that when the season winds down, naturalist adventure guides just want to relax by adventuring in nature!
“Being out on a trip like this with my fellow guides and colleagues was truly something special. It reinforced how much we all have in common through our shared passion for nature, and it definitely united us more as a team. We had so many beautiful experiences, including dolphins swimming all around us one day, being in the water with the bioluminescence at night, and so many more. I think we all grew a lot, and we were all reminded that we truly live in paradise. It was an amazing experience.” – Sergio Mariscal, TOSEA guide
Throughout the journey the guides were serenaded by incredible landscapes of islands, mountains and perfect, deserted beaches; paddled and played with dolphins; and marveled at whales and birds. All the while, they built routines to make everything work and paddled, paddled, paddled – a kind of meditation.

@ClassicZambia for the Conservation Conscious Travelers. Travelers in 2023 are becoming more curious and they want to know where their tourism dollars are going. They especially want to make sure that the money spent on their holidays are making a difference. One way they can see their tourism dollars in action is with a visit to @MusekeseConservation while staying at Musekese Camp. Musekese Conservation is Classic Zambia's non-profit organization that works on wildlife conservation in Kafue NP, primarily focused on law enforcement and ecological research with the aim of preserving wildlife and communities within and around the Park. Here’s a sneak peak of what they can experience with a visit to Musekese Conservation. This is Victor, Manager of Musekese Conservation HQ, giving us some hands on demonstration on the types of snares that poachers use.

Julie and Paul from Gather Away were just up in Gardiner, MT preparing for some upcoming winter trips in Yellowstone National Park and they came across this group of wolves from the 8 Mile pack in northern Yellowstone on the Blacktail Plateau. Julie reports that the North entrance road from Gardiner has just reopened and Yellowstone's northern range is now open for winter wildlife adventures! DM us if your clients are looking for a last minute winter adventure in Yellowstone NP or in Jackson Hole, WY - space IS available (Winter is the secret YS season - only 2% of the park's 4.8 million visitors come in the winter - talk about exclusivity!)
