As I reflect on this journey, I get real emotional.I think back to my first call to my mother when I had to break the news to her. I had to be strong and water it down just a bit.. but my mom knew I was scared and so was she. I asked her to give me time to break the news to my pregnant daughter. She asked me if she can tell her sisters and my siblings... of course I said yes.. heck tell everybody because I'm gonna need their support. But tell them I'm waiting for peaches to return from DC to tell her the news... so let's keep it quiet for another week.
I'm thankful for my family and my friends that travel with me on this journey.. the laughs, the shoulder to cry on and my surgery riders...lol. the support I received during that time was a true blessings!..
So to you, I say THANK YOU ALL for the continued support over the 11years...I burned a candle for my love ones I lost along the way... who while going through their own journey managed to remain a light in mines.
Cancer is a journey where no- one should walk alone! Support can make a difference in someone's journey!
