I was born and raised in a small town called Siauliai. Actually, it was the fourth largest city in Lithuania but given that our population is only 3 Million in total, it was quite a sheltered childhood. Growing up in Lithuania which has a very quaint and artistic history, I became fascinated with architecture. My passion evolved over time into residential interior design wh
ich I studied in my home town at university before moving to London in my early twenties. After getting a Masters in Interior Design I lived and worked in Central London as freelance interior designer for a few years. As everyone knows, London is spotted with old Victorian-style houses; many of these no longer livable. My imagination started running wild and I started working with new owners to assist them to transform their new outdated projects into homes with glamorous interiors. Many people consider Italy to be a design and architecture capital of the World and I decided to move from London to Milan where I lived again for a few years. Still as a freelance designer, I was working on interior projects for houses and apartments alike. Having studied multiple facets of interior design, I learned different techniques and subjects including graphical design, product design, architecture, color theory, the history of art, drawing, oil painting, composition, stained glass, books design, sculptures…
The experience I have gained over my career has helped me to understand my strengths and my interests. I like to travel, and have had the privilege of being able to travel to several countries around the World, and have seen many beautiful and different styles of architecture and design. This exposure is reflected in my work, both from a design perspective, as well as, while implementing projects with unique antique furniture or other elements. Most recently I moved to Dubai (due to the weather of course and) due to the number of new residential projects having been, and that continue to be launched. With the number of various nationalities in this melting pot (temperature too) of cultures, I have been leveraging on my skill-set over the past couple of years to help infuse European and International styles into local interior design projects.
