Seychelles is a group of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean off the coast of East Africa. The archipelago nation is known for its natural beauty, with idyllic beaches, lush jungles, and towering mountains. If you're planning a trip to Seychelles, here are a few things to keep in mind. Getting There Seychelles is serviced by two international airports, one on the main island of Mahe and one on the second-largest island, Praslin. Most visitors will fly into Mahe and then take a connecting flight or ferry to their final destination. There are also direct flights from Europe and the Middle East. When to Go The best time to visit Seychelles is between April and May or October and November. These months fall outside of the peak tourist season and offer more moderate temperatures and fewer crowds. However, keep in mind that the weather can be unpredictable, so it's always best to be prepared for rain. What to Do There's no shortage of things to do in Seychelles. Nature lovers will enjoy hiking through Morne Seychellois National Park or exploring Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve. And for a taste of Seychellois culture, be sure to visit Victoria Market and the Clock Tower in Victoria, the capital city.
