Bella on the beach!! It’s been two years since our last trip to Italy ended just as COVID became a THING. We’ve been hunkered down and enjoying lake life, but decided it was time for a beach break. This is our first time visiting the panhandle of Florida. January is chilly, but when the sun comes out it warms up fast. We love the off-season, dog-friendly vibe. And the nicely heated pool and hot tub 😉☀️🌴

*Chicken update, and a few answers to your questions from TC

1.A crazy chicken lady came and adopted the chicken until we can find an owner. Seriously, she has a bumper sticker that indicates she is a crazy chicken lady. No shade thrown. Thanks, Crazy Chicken lady.

2. No, we did not introduce the chicken to the Duck of Justice. Fun fact, the DOJ is not alive, therefore conversations are typically one sided. I mean, other than when the crazy chicken lady stops by.

3. No, the chicken cannot be given a silly name. We did that once, and all kinds of people show up and hang around in our lobby. We learned our lesson. However, we love all of you. One Duck of Justice is enough.

4. Please dont send me anymore bread crumbs for the DOJ. Review #2. The Duck does not consume any food.

5. My tolerance for bad puns has reached critical mass. Please, for the love of all that is holy. No. More. Puns.

Yup, this chicken--a barred rock --was found at the Broadway Shopping Center. I'm not talking out of school when I tell you the butcher at Hannies was keeping a sharp eye on the bird.

My new garden bed has been getting dug up by night visitors. This morning I found 2 momma turtles laying eggs. Babies should hatch in about 3 months. This garden is going to have some challenges 🙄🐢🥚🥚🥚
