We had a lovely tour round the chateau last year - well worth a visit!

Édition 2019 : nous continuons la présentation des groupes qui seront présents aux Bandafolie's 2019 du 11 au 14 juillet prochain ! Ils participeront pour la cinquième fois à notre festival et nous viennent de Saint-Quentin (02). Leader français du spectacle de parade, "La Vaillante" s’est forgé une réputation à la hauteur de son dynamisme. Ambiance assurée avec ce showband « Made in Picardie » au style unique qui se démarque de ses homologues par son sens de la surprise et sa complicité avec le public.

The word for sunflowers in France is Tournesols. It’s easy to see where the name comes from since tourner is to turn and sol is for sun.
The sunflower head points east towards the sunrise. Before they bloom, motor cells in the sunflower stem tilt the flower bud to try to receive a maximum of sunlight throughout the day. By evening, the sunflower head is pointing west, toward the sunset. Basically sunflowers trace a 180 degree arc, tracking the sun’s position throughout the day, from horizon to horizon, sunrise to sunset. Overnight, the sunflower will reset to its original eastward position and wait for the morning, ready to follow the sun’s path once again. But once they bloom, sunflowers no longer follow the sun and are frozen into an eastward-facing position. ** feel free to share **
