It's that ( even more than usual! ) wet and windy time of year when I plan my trips to Menorca. Springtime is a big favourite - a time many don't get to see. This year flights begin early April and Jet2 and Easyjet have their January sales on now. Always being asked which resort, where else should I try ...so another little guide was due :-)

TIP - Cala Galdana has amazing nature and you can stay at the Melia , Audax hotels in style or Floramar Apartments starting April and not at the sky high summer peak prices ;-)

Heads up! Tuesdays no longer snoozedays...'Music on the Streets' has started in Mahon. Every Tuesday Live Music acts ( see locations map ) until end Aug -at the same time as the Artisan Evening market ( Placa del carme - ie in front of Cathedral in City Centre )

Ciutadella Fiesta!!!! Just in case you're going to to Sant Joan tomorrow here is a useful map. My tip goto Placa Alfons ( see map link below ) , the riders procession gathers up here ( less chaotic ;-) ) so you can see all the amazing Horses/Costumes- Safer place for children

Fun Tip especially for the Kids- Fish Feeding my style...buy the cheapest bread stick/snacks( the cheaper the better for stickiness ) ... bite off the tip lie still and wait . We have had hundreds ( big and small ) on arms and hands...great feel and manicure in one ! ;-) if you snorkel the big fish will come too ....fascinating feel and spectacle...ONLY works with bread sticks/Snacks as they do not dissolve to nothing

Did you know that during The Spanish Civil War Menorca was against Franco...so they did not get money afterwards to develop their tourism ....very fortuitous as they did not destroy their coastline :-)
