We’re often asked, what type of women travel travel with Sisters and Suitcases (SAS)? A SAS woman is curious, she travels boldly.
Sisters and Suitcases is a community on a journey that’s defined by our experiences and the people we meet along the way. The further she goes the more the world opens up to her and possibilities become endless. No matter where her travels take her or how far the territory, she will find she belongs. Doors are open, friendships are made and the unfamiliar becomes home

Positano is a cliffside village on southern Italy's Amalfi Coast.
Positano bites deep. At least that’s what happened to me. It’s a dream that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone. This video and the pictures can’t begin to give you beauty of this village. The houses climb a hill so steep it would be a cliff except that stairs are cut in it. Where most houses foundations are vertical, in Positano they are horizontal. Then there’s the bay with this unbelievably blue and green water.
.
When you find a place as beautiful Positano your first instinct is to conceal it but I couldn’t. I want to share it with you that’s why I’m inviting you to join me as we uncover the Amalfi Coast. Click the 🔗 in bio for details or go to www.sistersandsuitcases.com
Hi!
This is Tamaya Walker McClendon, founder of Sisters and Suitcases. I know you don’t see me often, well that’s about to change. You’ll begin to see and learn more about me and what we have planned this year for Sisters and Suitcases (SAS). If you’re wondering what SAS is Sisters and Suitcases, a vibrant global travel community for women of color who are seeking an immersive style of travel that awakens you to live life on purpose. We refill your cup by being intentional and pour in cultural, educational and physical experiences, opportunities to engage with locals, powerful conversations with other like-minded women and fun community of sisterhood. Last Friday we released our 2018 Experiences PARIS > GHANA > AMALFI > EGYPT and had a substantial number of registrations and some questions. Next week I’m going live to answer questions and you should be there. Details coming next week. To learn more about our experiences click the link in BIO.
I took a break and grabbed a macchiato at Starbucks and took part in the eclipse viewing. Did you notice how the temperature changed from 90's with humidity to the low 70's with no humidity. I stood directly in the sun and felt the cool breeze. This video shows the reflection of the eclipse. The little moons that you're seeing is the actual eclipse. This was my first eclipse experience. What you see with the natural eye is so different from what I saw behind those solar sunglasses.
We spent the evening listening to a local blow like Louis Armstrong. Have a listen for yourself......Incredible!!
