Orlando offers many different restaurants - from fast food to haute cuisine, as well as character dining. Florida's third largest city is America's number one tourist destination. The Sunshine State has always had the weather and laid back vibe to attract vacationers. Walt Disney announced the plans that would eventually make Orlando the most visited city in America. Today Disney World shares the
over 50 million Orlando area visitors each year with other popular destinations. Disney World alone, with its amusement and water parks, can easily take up five or six days with the family. Walt Disney World includes the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach and Downtown Disney. Sea World and Universal Orlando are great accompaniments to fill in a longer family vacation. The Orlando area hot spots don't end there. The list of dinner theatres, water parks, and themed adventure tours that are competing for business is a long one. Even if you want to water ski behind a cable or skydive indoors on a pocket of air, Orlando has what you are looking for. Universal Drive is a tourist destination for night owls. This lively thoroughfare is packed with recognizable restaurants, bars, clubs, and tourist friendly shopping. Tourism is big business in Orlando but it is not the only game in town. Locals enjoy some great nightlife as well. Orange Avenue and Church Street are the center of a bar and music scene that comes alive when the sun goes down. Orlando is an example of a prioritized and carefully laid out city. It's not difficult to sell Orlando as a great Vacation destination. It is number one in America for good reason.
