I believe my project will make a difference because many community projects and social enterprises simply do not have the budget to employ professionals to promote themselves, run a press and promotional campaign or to arrange launches to gather interest in the local area on a full time basis. I aim to provide an affordable full service offering this and more to the Social entrepreneur who has little budget, and who would have difficulty communicating their vision across to the public. Our services will enable charities, small CIC's, community groups, and other similar bodies to have a cost effective tailored package of press, PR and social media services, to raise your profile, showcase your event or product & generally grow your business both locally & on a national level. Past Experience: I have for years worked as a national press officer for environmental music festivals, including: The Big Green Gathering, Sunrise Festival and Green Fields at Glastonbury. Before that I was coordinator and Press Officer for Brighton Fringe Festival, a collection of not for profit events showcasing local and national talent. I have always worked for causes I believed in, and since moving to Cornwall I have identified a need for such professional services to be available here. Working with social causes, environmentalists, community projects and workers, my skills act as a bridge between highly creative people and the general public and authorities, to deliver our client’s vision and message in an educational, inspirational and unddrstandable manner.
