Tynemouth Front street is at the heart of this vibrant seaside village and has a great deal to offer. It boasts a range of bespoke shops, cafes, bistros and restaurants for you to enjoy and there is also a popular weekend market and antique fayre. These are all within walking distance.
For families, Tynemouth has many attractions to fill your day. An aquarium, boating lake with pedal boats, Dinosaur themed crazy golf and numerous parks perfect for sitting with a picnic. The seafront gives amazing views of the sweeping ‘Blue flag’ beaches and a promenade walkway links to the historic quayside. Tynemouth Longsands and King Edwards Bay are nationally recognised beaches and surf lessons are available for all ages. A short walk from the cottage is the dramatic Tynemouth Castle and Priory, with a statue of Lord Collingwood looking directly over the property itself.
The fabulous cities of Newcastle and Durham are both easily accessible, offering great buildings and lots to keep you busy.
