Highly recommend taking a tour to travel the Going to the Sun Road. You will appreciate being able to take everything in vs. watching the road as well as not having to worry about finding a parking spot at popular stops along the way! The vintage 1930s Red Buses have roll-back tops that provide great views of the mountains and sky while drivers share the history of the park. Another option is Sun Tours, whose guides are lifetime residents of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and offer interpretive tours featuring tribal history, culture and lifestyle. We got to experience both!

We have tasted our way through Montana: huckleberry ice cream, huckleberry popcorn, huckleberry and walnut fudge, homemade huckleberry and Flathead cherry pie, and even a huckleberry margarita. We have yet to see an actual huckleberry!

Put Flathead Lake on your must-see list in Montana! These pictures don’t do it justice. Enjoyed lunch overlooking the lake en route to Glacier National Park from Bozeman. Also enjoyed Montana’s very own huckleberry ice cream! Took pictures of the Mission Mountain range earlier in the day but stood safely in the parking lot for obvious reasons.

I have clients currently trekking gorillas in Rwanda, being Awe’d by Alaska in Denali National Park, and relaxing by the sea in Maine! So many different interests and destinations... I just love being a travel advisor!

Montana lives up to the expectations! Absolutely beautiful drive through Galletin Canyon near Bozeman. Also checked out nearby Big Sky resort!
