My recent stay at Le Blanc Cancun was fabulous. The hotel is adults only, and for every adult. The ages ranged from young honeymooners to Grandparents. This is not a couples resort and there were lots of singles mingling too! First, let me chat about what a small world it is. As we sit in the lobby of the hotel waiting to check in, we met two guests that just happened to know Bobs ex boyfriend. They are all comedians. But how strange right? You have to watch how you treat people because it all comes back to you! Right Missy and Jeremy? But back to the resort. This is one of the nicest hotels that I have ever stayed at, and I’m lucky to say that I’ve stayed at some really nice hotels. This is a wellness and Spa resort, so I initially thought I’d feel out of place having never experienced this type of resort in the past. Since Bob and I do not drink (just seeing who is paying attention) we had to focus on entertainment and food. Entertainment was abundant with singers and Mariachi bands at the pool, followed by singers at the lobby bar, shows like Jersey Boys (but on a smaller level than the big resorts) and disco afterwards, till 2am, every day! Le Blanc had the best food out of any all inclusive I have ever stayed at. The staff is incredible! Each room comes with a butler. I never needed or wanted one, and now I don’t know how I will do without one. The butler can unpack or pack your luggage up as my new friend Holly taught us, draw your bath ( which I should have done because I had a bubble malfunction doing it myself), make dinner or tour reservations, give you updates to the daily entertainment, etc, etc. From the moment you enter the reception lobby to check in, you are treated like royalty. Waters, hostesses and bartenders quickly learn your names and use them. You feel like family. Our hosts were Victor and Michele! Most will remember Michele as a winner on Survivor 32 and a cast member on The Challenge on MTV right now. I remember both as our new best friends! Le Blanc has three infinity pools, beachfront infinity hot tub, amazing entertainment, disco partying up to 2am, fabulous restaurants and best food that I have ever had at an all inclusive (in case I hadn’t mentioned that), my fantastic butlers (yes-two. One for day and one for night!)and most importantly, SPA, this is the best place to be in Cancun. I am not a SPA person. Well, I wasn’t. I am now. After partaking in the included to all guests hydro therapy session and added 25 minute back massage, I am now officially a spa snob! The beach is really nice, a little sea w**d but beautiful! Here you can pay extra for a cabana or lay in one of the included hotel chairs. This resort is for anyone who wants luxury in a laid back atmosphere. You only need to dress up at dinner and the staff is so amazing that we wanted to dress for them. It was fun to interact with the employees and we made genuine friends that I hope we will see again. I can answer any questions that you have about the resort. It’s all that and more than that. The restaurants are small so reservations are required for dinner. Your butler, or I can help you make those. The favorite is the French, followed by Asian which was incredible, Italian which was bellissimo and Mexican/steak/seafood which was amazing! Special shout out to Edgar who was our first waiter as we waited on arrival day for our room to be ready. He went out of his way to explain the hotel to us, tell us funny stories and make us feel comfortable. Technically, this was not his job, it was our butlers, but everyone crosses job titles to do for the client. When we did meet our butler, we spent a lot of time saying Edgar already told us. Lol! We met so many people that went above and beyond and crossed job titles. Please know that for hotels all over Mexico and Punta Cana (and most of Caribbean) that if you do a trip advisor review when you return and mention the special people at the resort that helped you, the resorts reward these employees with days off or gifts and more. Le Blanc is also all about wellness. Not just physical wellness, internal wellness. I learned a lot from the people on this trip, especially the survivor Michele who wants us all to be happy, because “happy looks better”. Looks better than fat, skinny, pretty, ugly, tall, short, happy just looks better! So be happy. Don’t get caught up in the negative. Life’s to short to not be better by being happy! I’m happy! And I can’t wait to go back to Le Blanc where I am happier!
