Kermit, Chief Travel Planner (CTP), has changed our flight plans, London non-stop on a 777. Her concern: one daily flight to MAN vs. rain, or three daily flights to LHR vs. rain. Claws crossed.

Claws crossed for a direct flight from LHR to DFW. 7 hours vs. 12+ hours. Thought about it going over too, but MAN is much closer to our first stop.
