Important news! You are about to get the same great service you’re accustomed to under a new name!

A Fresh New Look has decided to change its name to Duck Duck Painting and More. Why? Because by combining our interest with the business, we got the whole family involved. We all agreed on the name; not only is it different, but it does also have some meaning. Ducking is something that was created to brighten your day and put a smile on your face. It started in the Jeep community. With our family’s passion for Jeeps, we decided why not bring ducking to the business. From our new name, a small rubber duck attached to our business card, and using our Jeeps to pull our work trailers, we are now a family-owned company that has combined all the things we enjoy into a company to serve you.

We not only work hard, but we play hard when not working. We are active members of many Jeep clubs, attending fundraising events for different charities/organizations and exploring the outdoors. So come follow us on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Where you will not only see our current projects, but you will also see how we give back to the community. We hope you are as excited as we are because the name change is bringing even more to the company. Carol Vance is now part of the team. She is not only helping on the job site, but she is helping with our new software to improve scheduling, invoicing, estimates, and more.

Check out the pictures of this deck that was transformed from old rough wood to a clean gray composite with black aluminum railings for A Fresh New Look. What a great way to start this grilling season. Another great project behind us and on to the next one.

Unveiling this living room's new look, featuring a lightweight color palette, no more brick fireplace, and the old mantle's crown molding, now perfectly aligned above. The homeowners are ecstatic! Anticipating the final reveal with the installed granite and mantle. Another great job completed and on to the next. Thank you George and Karen for allowing us to complete this project.

Painting the ceiling and taping the wall where the fireplace brick was removed is today's project. To achieve happy customers, it is crucial to exercise caution and take necessary protection measures throughout the project.

Today's project was a simple drywall patch after the plumber fixed a leak.

Insulate, install drywall, tape/mud, and clean up for another great job completed by A Fresh New Look.

This orange board bender sure is easy to use. Takes very little effort to straighten a crooked board. 16 ft treated lumber isn't always perfectly straight.

Today started with a Tornado 🌪️ warning and storms as soon as I got to the project site. So I got some errands ran, came back for about 3 hours, and then it started hailing.

This old deck is starting to come together. The original floor joists were in good shape. The outer frame and post had some rot as well as not constructed well. Outer frame has been completely replaced in the first picture. I will be replacing the steps as well. Just in time for spring this deck will have A Fresh New Look.

Starting a complete deck remodel this morning. This deck is going to get A Fresh New Look with all new decking and railings.

Did you know that I painted for a episode on the Oprah show? The green walls are the finished project. The green roller painting marks below me in the bottom picture are from Jacqueline Smith (former Charlies Angel). She was the designer for this project. She used my painting equipment and rolled some spots to look like she painted the room. I did get some air time but if you blinked you missed me. The project was located just outside of Quincy, IL.

A Fresh New Look finished up this week by doing some touch up caulking and painting on this crown molding. This crown was installed by A Fresh New Look a few years back. It certainly adds a great look to this master bathroom.

Some before and after pictures, as well as what I was straddling over. The location of the tub made access to the skylight very difficult. The customer just wanted it cleaned up by patching, priming, and painting to hide some of the roof materials showing. I had to remove my wallet and phone out of my back pockets to be able to squeeze up in there. Luckily there was a little ledge on the side by the window. This allowed this ladder to work in this spot. If there is a will there is a way.

Today is going to be fun. I'm probably the only person thankful it's cold outside. These skylights can be a scorcher in the summer.
