We're a Kiwi family of 5 who spent many years dreaming of how to make long-term travel with kids a reality, and are now doing it. We're choosing experiences over things, and getting out in the world to show our boys all that it has to teach us. We're going to be traveling, living, and learning around the world, all while working online. The rough plan at this stage is a few months in SE Asia, then

up to Europe for 18 months or so, then over to the Americas, before returning home (hmmm ... maybe says Gloria, most likely says Tony). Gloria's a born traveler who isn't quite sure how she's remained sane (debatable!) with feet planted in one country since having children. Tony's enjoyed his time out in the world too and is open-minded enough to consider all the wacky life plans Gloria puts forward, and even agrees to some of them - like this one. Our biggest concerns are how we will cope being with our kids 24/7 for so long, and we also have the occasional nightmare about losing a child overseas(!). They're all pretty excited about the trip in general, but have a few specifics on their bucket lists like eating pizza in Italy, going to the amazing waterparks they've googled, and catching up with their cousins in London. They have the expected concerns about missing family and friends, so as part of keeping in touch they also contribute their stories and experiences to our blog.
