I know fall is nice right now, but you may need a break from the cooler weather in the next coming months. Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau is a perfect quick escape to reconnect with yourself and the sunshine. ☀️ This resort is 10 minutes from the airport and offers multiple pools and a stunning beach. There are several dining options here to choose from, excursions you can take, and water sport activities are included. When deciding on excursions for a cruise to the Caribbean most options involve water of some sort. However, in Cozumel you can go check out the Lucha Libre Experience and I absolutely recommend. This was such a fun excursion for our family.
I sailed on the Icon of the Seas in March and want to share what foods we found on our sailing. Pearl Cafe had a vegan breakfast sandwich and daily sandwich offered each day. These ones stayed the same each day. The Mushroom Birria was something I ate almost daily. Park Cafe had a rotating breakfast sandwich that changed daily, then a consistent veggie sandwich during the day. This was the same veggie sandwich offered up in the AquaDome Market. AquaDome Market had falafel bowls. Most of the sauces weren’t vegan but it was an okay small bite. The tofu and vegetable stir fry was vegan but the noodles and spring rolls weren’t vegan. This was not very good and also very overcooked. Sorrentos had vegan cheese. We confirmed that the normal dough was not vegan but the gluten free one was, so we’d get a GF pizza with violife cheese. They also brought us one for our son at dinner at the MDR one night upon request. The Windjammer had a few options labeled. We befriended the head chef for the Windjammer, Manish, who would walk us through the buffet each time we ate there and show what was vegan. He also offered a vegan burger for us and would get us vegan desserts at lunch when there weren’t any on the buffet. I popped into Surfside Bites a few times and never saw anything marked vegan outside of the vegan meatloaf one time. The Main Dining Room was hit or miss with food quality. Some of the on menu options were really good and some weren’t. We would order other food as well as eat off the menu if we felt the need. We got spring rolls pretty much every night to take back to the room to munch on. A lot of the one menu options lacked any seasoning and were just not great. The soups were all delicious though. We didn’t bother with any specialty dining on this sailing since no where has a labeled vegan option. I have done a few on other ships but decided to stick to just these options this time.
The updates at Disney’s Grand Floridian are supercalifragilistic if you ask me. These new Mary Poppins inspired rooms are absolutely stunning and full of Easter eggs throughout the room. I’ll post still photos from this room so you can see them for yourself. This resort is directly next to Magic Kingdom making it a prime location for young families. These new rooms, which are huge, are worth a stay in! ☂️
If you want views like this on your next sailing, I know how to get those for you. 📧 [email protected]
When picking resorts at Walt Disney World we know there are tons of options. One of my favorites is Disney’s Contemporary Resort due to its proximity to Magic Kingdom. 🏰This resort also recently got a major upgrade in their rooms with a fun new design with The Incredibles. This is a Theme Park View Room which can give you fireworks views every night.
Who’s ready to head home to Hogwarts this fall?
