Have you ever released lanterns for good luck? 🙏.
Visiting in changed my perspective on this tradition forever. Seeing fallen lanterns polluting the river, and hanging from trees made me rethink releasing my own.
I may have missed earth day but this is my reminder to look after our Mother Earth! 💚

Instagram used to be such a big part of my life, posting at the 'correct' times anxious about missing days....🔫 Now I have to remember to post at all let alone at the 'right' time. l havent even had a proper phone charger since Bali 😂 Hope those of you who are still following along appreciate a little more realness from me.

You'll get to a point in your life when you realize it's been months, years, decades... and you have forgot to live. Life is not Instagram. Life is not Facebook., Life is not texting. Life is forgetting your phone at home, going on an adventure with people that mean the most to you, feeling, sensing, actually looking around at the world and it's beauty instead of your screen, and coming home with a huge smile on your face and a story to tell your grandkids. I'd challenge anyone to stop picking up his or her phone, stop walking around the city looking down at it, and try to remember what you experienced when you were a child. The universe is so much more INTERESTING than any Instagram or text will ever be.

For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.

I am definitely a LOVER! I will save my food scraps for pups I see nearby, I will pat any that let me and I am often witnessed gazing wistfully into the distance as a gang of dogs play together 😂😍

Have you ever been to Bali amd wondered about these little nuggets of colour?.
Canang sari (pronounced chanang) are one of the daily offerings made by Balinese Hindus to thank their supreme god- Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, whose name is also fun to say 😉
These pretty offerings can be seen all over Bali every single day! In temples (pura), on small shrines in houses, on cars and often on the ground like this one!

Personally, I would call myself an Atheist. I enjoy learning about other people's culture, which often includes their religion. I do relate to Buddhism if I were forced to choose... But Im not so I won't! 😉.
Im currently in Bali, which has the highest concentration of people with the Hindu faith outside of India. After experiencing the faith in India last year, and Nepal last month I thought its time to really find out more about Hinduism! Here's what I've learnt today:.
First up- they say that Hinduism "defies our desire to define and categorize it".
It has been called the oldest religion in the world and is sometimes referred to as the 'eternal tradition'.
It believes there are four proper goals or aims of human life; Dharma (ethics/duties), Artha (prosperity/work), K**a (desires/passions) and Moksha (liberation/freedom/salvation).
There are definitely differences in the practice of Hinduism between the countries Ive visited. I hope to be able to share some of the Balinese traditions with you over the coming months.

Bringing back with a friend- and this epic shot of the Island Peak Snow Wall. 200 meters of hell and excitement at 6,000m/20,000feet. Hopefully this photo finally gives you an idea of what Ive been raving about since getting back! 😂
What's your biggest achievement this year? Mine is obviously summiting Island Peak! 💪 No lie, I actually have no idea how I managed this s**t- and Corey did it whilst taking epic photos- what kind of superhuman is he?!.

Did you know that yaks 🐃 can only survive at an altitude of at least 4,000m above sea level? They can also withstand temperatures of up to -40 degrees! More than this ice-pop thats for sure! ☃
I fell in love with the yaks carrying loads up and down the himalayan trails❤.
Yes they cause traffic jams, dust storms and occasionally nudge an unsuspecting porter off the edge of the trail (or tourist- No joke- keep to the inside of the trail guys!). But they work so hard and have such gentle faces.

I am feeling like the luckiest girl alive! We not only have completed day one of our trek without any mishaps, but our group also scored a Helicopter ride 🚁 from Kathmandu to Lukla this morning! Honestly feeling so much gratitude and awe at the beauty of the Himalayas and how we got to experience it!.
This shot is just from my phone📱 as I wont be editing the cam shots until the trip is over! .
Here's to more luck, safety and gratitude for the rest of our trip! 🙏.

Searching foe Komodos on Rinca will evenrually take you to this beautiful lookout!.

Beautiful Gili Lawa 😍 The clouds didn't want to cooperate with us for sunrise, but the view of the pristine water was worth the hike anyway! A little pre-Nepal test for my knee with an amazing vantage point!.
Tip- Gili Lawa and the insta-famous Gili Padar are best hiked in the cool mornings. We heard a girl passed out because of the heat when climbing at midday!.

A quick clip of our Kelimutu Adventure. These lakes are constantly changing colours due to the minerals and gases emitted by the active volcano. There is another lake not shown in the vid that was pitch black, and the bright green lake is often blood red, can you believe! A very worthwhile trip easily tacked on to your Bali adventures!

Diving the Komodo National Park was absolutely amazing, above and under the ocean had so much life and colour. Look carefully and see if you can spot the Manta rays from above. We loved our time diving with Uber Scuba Komodo, thanks guys we will remember the experience forever! Take a look and see if you'd like to dive one of the best sites Indonesia has to offer.
