"Sitatunga Private Island is an extraordinary place. It is a private island and is one of the few locations where one can still see sitatunga, the rare aquatic antelope from camp and by boat, which is the main activity here in addition to walking. It is deep Okavango Delta and, as such, is rich in birding. Sitatunga is the perfect camp to slow down in, to walk, to get on the very-soothing water. Get on the river. Let its pace determine yours, give yourself to it and find silent moments on your safari. Becauselike the river, it is not about the water itself but the journey."- Dereck Joubert, CEO of Great Plains

The beautiful new Sitatunga Private Island!
Sitatunga’s design tells the story of the Okavango, a camp surrounded by water referenced to a Robinson Crusoe experience, and one that has had indigenous fishermen in the region for over 200 years. Those fishermen designed and used fishing baskets and traps made from reeds in the shape of a funnel so Dereck Joubert took this reference and designed the suites as tents hanging inside of giant bamboo fisherman baskets. The interiors as a result draw on a colour range that you can see by looking out at the Okavango, misty greens, and light-bleached woods.

These are the flood waters that arrive from the Angolan Highlands. Everyday is different over this time of the year. One day you could be driving a certain path which the following day is unaccessible due to the rising water levels.
These waters are followed by numerous birds including hamerkops, ducks and various storks.

The beautiful new Karangoma Camp, located in the northern section of NG12, with roughly 30 000ha of traversing area, Karangoma boasts a beautiful and productive overlap of Botswana’s northern woodlands (mopane and teak) with a mosaic of floodplains, lagoons and channels typical of the Okavango Delta. Bisecting the area is the arterial Makwegqana Channel, a crystal clear distributary of the Okavango that ultimately becomes the Selinda Spillway.
The camp itself is located on a forested peninsula reaching out into the seasonally inundated floodplains. Karangoma means “drum beating, ancestral healing, or when one is ill, cure dancing’. Today it is a connection with nature that is the most important healer.

Few camps rival the location of this little gem, which together with Duba Plains and Selinda Camps, is one of only three Relais & Chateaux properties in Botswana. Overlooking the crystal waters of Zibadianja Lagoon, the source of the famous Savute Channel, every area of camp has a magnificent view. The lagoon is also the water source for a tremendous population of wildlife – dry season sightings boast buffalo and elephant by the hundreds.
With a maximum of just eight guests sharing in 4 suites, Zarafa Camp offers complete flexibility.
It has a spa, gym (in the video), and a cigar and wine room with top international and South African wines.

Mpala Jena - Victoria Falls
Mpala Jena’ means “White Impala”. According to the local National Park rangers, when the Zambezi National Park was separated from the Victoria Falls National Park and declared a National Park in its own right in 1979, sightings of an albino impala were reported.
The area under conservation, within the Zambezi National Park is 56,000 hectares (138,000 acres), and has a healthy and ever- increasing number of wildlife species, with higher concentrations of buffalo and elephant from June through to October. It has become an absolute gem of a reserve with some of the highest concentration of lion per square km than any other Zimbabwean park. The river is a magnet for wildlife and ensures consistent sightings of massive crocodiles and hippos who make their presence seen and heard throughout the day and night.
The property is conveniently located 19 kilometers inside the Zambezi National Park, making for easy access to Victoria Falls town. Still, it is far enough away from the hustle and bustle, allowing guests to relax and unwind whilst enjoying an incredible setting amidst the wild habitat of the Zambezi National Park.
