This old male Colombian Woolly Monkey (much greyer due to age) was a little surprised to see us, and decided to hold his hand over his rear end, threatening to throw his urr p**p! Thankfully we worked things out and he went on his way....no harm no foul (literally) :)

The day after...this happened! Mark and the team had an encounter with this Andean Bear from just metres away...for almost an hour they watched as the bear went about deconstructing and eating the heart of this huge bromeliad. What an encounter! Thanks again for the images Mark ;)

The team have been visiting various active Harpy Eagle nests over the last 3-4 years. It has been such an incredible privilege to bring our valued guests to these special locations and in the process support local conservation projects that safeguard these rare nesting sites for future generations of Harpies!! Here's a sub-adult Harpy that's almost ready to leave and find its own breeding territory. Do drop us a line if you'd love to see a Harpy Eagle in the its natural habitat whilst supporting local conservation initiatives!! We'll give you all the latest nest info ;)

Incredible Spectacled Bear sighting just yesterday! Our guest Mark Langston wanted to see Spectacled (Andean) Bear, to complete the full set of bears of the world and yesterday the Wild About Colombia team found this impressive male to complete Mark's mission in true style! Congratulations Mark and thank you for sharing these stunning images! Oh, and the day was topped off with an Andean Condor fly-by!!! A day to be remembered for sure ;)
