In the 1926 Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club, Bobby Jones arrived to the 71st hole trailing by two shots. He hit a miraculous mashie-iron to within birdie range from a terrible lie behind a dune.

The rest, as they say, his history.

The shot helped deliver Bobby his first Claret Jug. The mashie is displayed along with his portrait inside the clubhouse at Royal Lytham & St. Annes.

MacKenzie writes of the 6th hole at Augusta National... "This is similar to the Redan Hole at North Berwick, but here, owing to its extreme visibility, lay of the land, and beauty of the surroundings, we have no doubt that we will be able to construct a much more attractive hole than the original Redan." Although there's no denying that MacKenzie's version of The Redan is a stunning hole, in our book... There's nothing like an original. #TheMasters
