Here at Mandale we believe no one should be without food or hygiene essentials, something many of us take for granted. We are proud to support this worthwhile cause 🎅🏻🎄

Today we have celebrated the eagerly anticipated 🤩 launch of our Thornton Hills development at Denholme.

It’s been a great day, we’ve had lots of lovely people come through the door and some fantastic feedback on our new show home 🏡 Robertshaw’s have done an amazing job of supplying us with cakes 🍰 and coffee ☕️ and Benny the beaver 🦫 has thoroughly enjoyed meeting the people of Denholme!

Is anybody else wondering where the sun is hiding? ☀️🌥️☔️

All this recent wet weather has reminded us of our very wet and muddy charity volunteering day with Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. We walked from Hawes, Wensleydale Creamery 🐑🧀😋 to the neighbouring dales, helping to maintain saplings, ensuring the area develops into a landscape richer in trees, woods and hedgerows.

Planting trees 🌳🌳🌳 is one of the best ways we can protect the health of our planet 🌎 for future generations. The trees will contribute to a carbon net zero National Park and enable habitat connectivity.

On the day the views were incredible and we helped our environment but we boy did everyone end up rather wet! Soggy sandwiches 🥪 aside we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves 🙌🏼

We’ve joined forces with Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust to celebrate World Environment Day!

Mandale is passionate about the environment and that’s why we support YDMT in their mission to tackle the problem of plastic pollution in our woodlands.

Whilst it’s great that so many new trees are planted every year, it isn’t great that hundreds and thousands of plastic tree guards used to protect the trees as they grow are being left behind and polluting our soils and waterways.

As part of their Plastic Free Woodlands Project the YDMT have already removed and recycled an incredible 60,000 tree guards.

Furthermore 11,500 trees have been planted with cardboard and bio-based alternatives, Mandale are proud to be part of this. A group of volunteers spent the day planting trees in February at the beautiful Scar Top with views over the Yorkshire Three Peaks. We are already looking forward to returning in September to prune and maintain them 🌳

Did you know newly built properties can save homeowners money on their energy bills?

Home Builders Federation (HBF) revealed that from April, new build houses will save owners over £3,000 on average in annual energy cost thanks to the increasing energy efficiency of new build homes.

In the UK, 85% of new homes had an A or B (EPC) rating; whilst less than 4% of existing dwellings reached the same energy efficiency standard.

Yesterday we made the journey over to Scar Top to do our bit for the landscape and wildlife across the dales in support of The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. We planted 675 trees in total and will be back in Autumn for pruning! 🌳 🍃

Our two bedroom duplex apartments at Ochre Yards were finished to the highest of standards. The incredible arched window spanning the width of the overlooking mezzanine with views of the River Tyne is a true head turner.

We thoroughly enjoyed working on this project!

This year saw the completion of one of our most exciting redevelopments we’ve ever done. Ochre Yards, the former rail works and boiler shop located on the Gateshead Quayside, had sat empty for years in a derelict and dilapidated state.

We decided to take on this mighty challenge despite the many obstacles facing us as we just knew the end product would be so worthwhile.

…and the proof is in the pudding! We managed to restore this Grade ll Listed building and create 59 luxury apartments overlooking the famous River Tyne.

The building is completely unique and shows a true reflection of the industrial history embedded in Gateshead with the retained original features and nod to the railway workers (spot the hidden train 😉)

Our hard work has certainly paid off as we were named Best Residential/Redevelopment in the UK at this year’s prestigious UK Property Awards. We look forward to going through to the next stage at the International Awards as we have been nominated as Best in Europe!

‘Tis the season for giving🎅🏽

Thanks to the incredible generosity from many of our suppliers, Mandale were able to help more families than ever before this year with Cause Hampers❤️

We supplied 72 nominated families in Teesside with food, essentials and gifts this Christmas - it was a back breaking week of packing and delivering!

Julie from Cause Foundation has said “We would like the thank The Mandale Group and their suppliers for the amazing hampers which were dropped off at Middlesbrough Football Club. Although the need has increased this year, so has the generosity of our supporters. The nominating organisations were totally blow away today when they came to collect your hampers and we’re so grateful. These hampers will make a huge difference to the receiving families especially in these most difficult times.”
