Welcome to Lesotho
Next time you visit Southern Africa, include Lesotho in your itinerary.

Some 80% of Lesotho lies above 1800m, with the highest point at 3482m, so it’s no wonder it’s known as the Mountain Kingdom. It’s a place of steep passes, clear streams and waterfalls, tiny rustic settlements of stone and thatch rondavels clinging to the mountainsides, and blanketed shepherds watching their flock.

There are so many Lesotho attractions and fun things to do in Lesotho that I’d recommend you don’t try to cover too much distance each day; rather leave time at points of interest to make the most of activities in the area.

Below are some of our favourites.

-See Katse Dam
-Explore Ts’ehlanyane SANParks
-Go mountain biking
-Explore the Kome cave dwellings
-Go skiing and snowboarding
-Go fly fishing
-Put your 4x4 through its paces
-Drive Sani Pass to the highest pub in Africa
-Drive some of Lesotho’s other winding passes
-See dinosaur footprints
-Abseil down Maletsunyane Falls
-Visit the Katse Botanical Garden
-Find San rock art
-Visit Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village

The average annual temperature for Nyanga is 47° degrees and there is about 352 inch of rain in a year. It is dry for 183 days a year with an average humidity of 72% and an UV-index of 5.

Amzing Uganda....beyond the usual Serngeti

Conservation efforts have resulted in a surge in numbers of large mammals including elephants, giraffes and rhinos, thanks to increased security and tough wildlife laws with penalties for poaching. That success also means an increase in biodiversity, but also human-animal conflict
