I spend every week in a hotel so I needed a gaming rig to drag with me. No laptops come with screens this big (for obvious reasons) and with specs like this they cost a fortune. So I built a SFF PC into a Pelican case. Of course when I was done I disassembled it because it just needed watercooling.

Weekend warrior portable battery charging station by , protected within his Pelican R40 Ruck Case.

“When I’m on the road it’s always a struggle charging batteries as they bounce around all over the place when I’m driving. I always get to my destination only to find my charger flipped over and out came the battery. So I just came up with what I think is a pretty sweet fix.

+ First, pick up a R40 Pelican Case. This fits 3 chargers, cables, and lots of batteries.
+ Next, pick up some USB chargers for your camera. While ordering those on Amazon get some Velcro. I had some 2” lying around and just cut it to fit.
+ Next up, drill a hole in the back of the R40 for your cables to pass through.
+ Velcro the bottom of the inside. I also Velcroed the bottom of the outside to keep my case firmly in place on my drawer unit.
+ Next add opposite side of Velcro to your chargers.
+ Put your case close to your nearest USB outlet or run a long cable to your nearest USB outlet and let the uninterrupted charging begin.

Cool thing about the case, is that I can easily stash all my batteries in the upper compartment along with longer USB cables and still close things up.

So no matter where I need to charge my gear, I’ve got it all in a nice and organized case to go between the office and the vehicle.”
