The Oakland Barracudas have been swimming at Fremont Pool in East Oakland. We had this amazing visitor for a few days last week: a black-crowned night heron! This was functioning like an assistant coach! We were being watched closely! It’s been fun swimming at Fremont Pool, but we’re hoping to return to Live Oak Pool soon, when the water quality stabilizes and everyone’s ready to return. We still have open spaces and would welcome new swimmers.
