What a wonderful couple of days we have shared with London Business School during their Virtual Global Business Experience Week in Israel!

From Israel to London - bringing coexistence through the virtual lens with three renowned chefs in Israel from three different religions and using the common language of food to delve into the similarities and differences between these worlds.

Thank you to the amazing chefs! Chef Elias Mattar - شيف الياس مطر עמית אהרנסון - מדבר מהבטן Reshta Restaurant מסעדת רשטא Meatmarket - מיטמרקט

When we think of Rosh Hashanah, among the images that come to mind are apples dipped in honey, pomegranates, shofar (Ram's Horn), and then, there's the fish or the head of a fish. If you google "Rosh Hashana greeting cards" you'll get a ton of images but seldom will you get a fish.

Yet, Jews for millennia have placed the head of fish on a festive Rosh Hashana table. Many of you are familiar with the reason - Rosh Hashanah translates into “head of the year.” Eating fish head on Rosh Hashanah symbolizes the desire to be “heads, not tails” in the new year – in other words, to be leaders, not followers. But why fish? Fish in Jewish tradition is a symbol of life and sustenance. It's also a symbol of nature's abundance freely and graciously given. My grandfathers' take was slightly different... He noted that fish can only swim forward, no backward motion! always moving forward.

At the beginning of every Jewish year and now more than ever, as we near the Jewish Days of Awe, I am personally called to examine my relationship with the gifts so freely and graciously given to us by nature and how I reciprocate. I also choose to look forward, to move forward. No matter the obstacles.

True to the spirit of always being in motion, we've been incredibly busy these past few months working on some pretty big things that have the potential of changing the way we think about content, travel technology, and Israel.

Looking forward to sharing more soon.

Wishing you and your loved ones a healthy, happy, prosperous new year.

Always moving forward
