There is much to be thankful for this year. After a year of hunkering down and watching the world turn upside down. We have emerged and are proud to offer our Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Tour NYC:

Christmas in New York City is a dream come true for many. From the world-famous Tree in Rockefeller Center to the beautiful homes in Dyker Heights, there are many exciting things to do and see.

For many years, the houses and mansions of the Dyker Heights section of Brooklyn have been adorned with the boldest and brightest displays of Holiday lights anywhere in New York City.

The NY See Holiday Lights Tour 2021 will operate from Wednesday, November 26th, through December 31st.

After a scenic drive through Manhattan and into Brooklyn, you'll stroll the streets of the Heights, dazzled by the lights and decorations, feeling like a kid again. Your guide will be with you the entire time, shepherding you safely along.

We welcome you and look forward to showing you safely and peacefully the shining bright lights of Dyker Heights.

Central Park is eight hundred and forty-three unexpected pastoral acres in the center of Manhattan. Within these confines are hidden places less visited by the casual stroller.

The North Wood abounds with waterfalls, ravines, deeply wooded arbors, a world-renowned bird sanctuary, a willow-shaded loch, and three formal gardens.

On foot, through dappled lanes, with bird calls echoing, you will discover Northern Central Park, an unexplored, lightly traveled revelation to both New Yorkers and visitors alike.

The challenge in photographing the Grand Canyon is conveying a sense of scale. I have never seen a photograph that really gives one a sense of the grandeur of the Park. I shot over three hundred images over two days there. I shot in the morning and early evening and if I didn't capture the scale of the place I was able to capture the color and variety of the formations.

Hopefully, when I go back in another fifty years I'll give it another try.

I'm home from my expansive trip to the West. I don't know if I'd use the word vacation or trek. There were times when the driving was challenging and the weather uncooperative, but I worked my way through it as I usually do.

I shot many, many photographs which has always been my pleasure. The challenge upon getting home is to try and figure out which are the ones worth sharing. I worked for many years as a cinematographer and then a videographer so I consider myself a professional, but I have never considered myself a professional still photographer. It's a hobby.

My first album is of the Grand Canyon. I shot almost three hundred pictures there and have whittled them down to 23. I shot at different times of day in an attempt to catch the perfect light and to capture the enormous scale of the GC. In my opinion, this is the greatest photographic challenge. Many great photographers have stood at the precipice of the Canyon and did their best. I took my shot as well. I enjoyed the challenge.

I'm obsessed with the clouds and landforms. It pleases me indescribably.

This morning the juxtaposition brought tears to my eyes with its beauty.

Green California bursting with lettuce, cabbage, and grapes.

It's fecundity astounds. 90% of the world's lettuce is grown in Salinas.

I'm so glad to be in the warmth and sun that everything is a delight to me.

Driving South along US 1 is a great pleasure. The road can be challenging at times, but always yields great reward in scenery, food, and variety.

Overlooking Monterey Bay is an old abandoned Army base, Fort Ord. It was abandoned in the 1990s and left to the elements. It is going to be demolished at some point, but for now, it's being consumed by neglect. Interesting place to see. I thought it would be fenced off but it open to the public so I drove around.

Like you, I travel. From February through March I get on the road.

This year, I'm in the Southwest. I've been to Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Santa Fe, And now Scottsdale, AZ. Drove through some dicey weather conditions today; white-out snowstorm in the Tonto Forest.

Vast landscapes, when I use the word vast to describe the scenery, it seems trite, but the scale just swallows you up. Following this ribbon of roadway thru the landscape at least affords some perspective. I kept the needle pinned at 70 clicks and ate up the road like mints.

It was cold, and the wind bit but I got out to take pictures. I've never seen anything like it before — horizon to horizon, endless plain, snow, mountains, rock formations, sky, clouds.

Timeless and endless process. Just passin' through myself, gone in a flash! Loved it all!
Thanks for sharing.

Sunsets over Grand Canyon cannot get old. My last visit until next time. Traveling in the winter has great reward. No crowds, hotels on demand, no waits for anything. Eventually, I'll make my way to the warm coast. For now, I'm layered and bundled in my Earthsuit.
