Paris Parfait Apartment Rentals, a division of Rives Relocation Services, is a company owned by June Rives, who lived in Paris until 2009, but now divides her time between Paris and the US. The company was founded in 2003 as a relocation service assisting American clients in finding an apartment or vacation home in France to rent for short or long terms. June is fluent in French, and has written a
book called
“Merci Monsieur… A Guide of Living in La Belle France” which is available on Amazon.com This paperback illustrates some of the ‘ins and outs’ of living in France even for a short time. Renting apartments or homes in France is a fairly simple procedure and Paris Parfait makes it easy for its clients with a ready-made portfolio of apartments in all sizes, price ranges and locations. If one of these apartments is not the right fit, owner June Rives will research other options directly with landlords, not through agencies, so there is only one fee to Paris Parfait. Apartment rentals in France are a little pricey compared to most U.S vacation rentals. Short term rentals of 1 week to 3 weeks are the most expensive, and rents depend on the arrondisement, district of Paris, which is selected. The most expensive districts are the 6th,(Boulevard St Germain), 7th, (Invalides), 3rd (Ile St Louis) and 4th (le Marais). Apartment sizes are from studios with sleeper sofa, which are the most reasonable, up to 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartments which are the most expensive. One must calculate the difference between the dollar and euro at time of booking, because all payments are made in euros, not dollars. A small studio in a good quartier, quarter of Paris, will run about 1050 to 1200 euros per week (as of 8/2011 about $1,500 per week to $1,716 per week). One bedroom and larger can range from 2000 euros per week ($2,860 per week) and up. Of course, you are getting your own apartment instead of a hotel room. Renting your own apartment will be about the same price as a 4 or 5 star hotel. The grande difference is you will have a much larger space, and the charm of staying in your own Paris apartment.
