Today is Rare Disease Day. Most of you know that I am a full time, full service Travel Advisor. I am also a full time, full service care giver to my 16 year old son, Graydon. Graydon was born with a rare genetic condition called 18q-. Over the years, this has affected our lives in many ways. He exclusively uses a feeding tube for nutrition and is wheelchair bound. These things make it extremely difficult to travel with him. One of my passions, as a Travel Advisor, is to make travel more accessible to families with children who have special needs.
