We had a brilliant day today with Copperback and Western Quail-Thrush, Major Mitchell Cockatoo, Regent Parrot and Bourke’s Parrot.

A very different day Monday Oct 15, birding around the Adelaide region with Garry and Mandy from Sydney.
Temperatures ranging from 18-30°C, Wind speeds of 54km/h gusting up to 69km/h, Hot sun to thunderstorms with torrential rain we still managed a total of 95 species including this very compliant Australian Owlet-nightjar.

Thailand Day 5: Another full day spent on Doi Lang. This time with a very early start to pick up Mrs Humes Pheasant, Giant Nuthatch, and a few others. Later we picked up 4 Shrikes, Eurasian Jay, Black-throated Bushtit, Ultramarine Flycatcher and this brilliant Spot-breasted Parrotbill www.bellbirdtours.com

Thailand Day 4: A full day on the famed Doi Lang in the north-east of Thailand. Mainly birding in forest at 1500m we had an outstanding array of species including: Siberian Ruby-throat, Silver-eared and White-browed Laughingthrush, a dualing Stripe-breasted Woodpecker with a rare Crimson-breasted Woodpecker, Niltavias, Warblers and Flycatchers galore and my personal favourite the Rusty-cheeked Scimitar-Babbler www.bellbirdtours.com
