First met in 2016 in Bangkok over a bowl of noodle soup. When you’re on tour with one of us in Thailand, you’ll hear the story 🍜.

Imagine waking up and hearing the birds tweeting and the roosters crowing.
You’ve had a restful nights sleep after a great day exploring the outskirts of Bangkok, learning how to make pad Thai, weaving a hat and sitting together, laughing with your new travelling family.
You get up and stretch and head outside to watch the sun come up over the small river.
A few others join and you sit in silence reflecting on your trip so far.
Some time later you can hear some splashing. It’s a small row boat coming towards you.
Upon a closer look you see a monk.
Meaw, your local guide, then joins you and explains that the monk is coming to receive the morning offerings from the local family and she invites you to join.
The monk accepts donations of food and drinks and asks everyone to lower their heads and put their hands together. He says some words and offers a blessing to you and the group.
After a few moments of meditation, the monk has paddled on and you sit there smiling in awe at the experience and connection you’ve just shared.
This is Thailand.

Extra exploring before the tour starts.
This group arrived a couple of days before the tour officially kicked off, so we went for a trip out to Ayutthaya. This is the old capital city of Thailand and has faced many wars and battles for who was going to rule this piece of land.
Having Meaw alongside us meant that we could learn a lot and ask all our questions.

Camouflage is a 10/10 for this little dude/ dudette.
The octopus has tiny cells called chromatophores that can change colour and texture according to their environment 🐙.
Always lucky to spot one of these when out in the ocean 🙌

What we do it for. Seeing the reality of these beautiful destinations and getting involved with the locals to clean them up.
We got stuck into the other side of the island, then the following week another crew with came out and did a clean. Amazing work!
A little goes a long way 💪.

We joined forces with the island’s eco warriors to clean up the local harbour area of Gili Trawangan. In just one hour 85kgs of trash was collected! This trash would have eventually ended up in the ocean. Small steps can make big differences. What a way to learn and experience a destination while on holiday.

Learning about the ocean and why it’s so important is super valuable, especially when you’re out on it and about to dive into it. Fast Manta Diving Krabi does great work spreading awareness through education and experience. They are in collaboration with @sharkguardian to help protect the sharks here in Thailand.
