Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park Historic Family Holiday Destination for over 100 years

IS IT LEGAL THAT SUNSHINE COAST COUNCIL CAN CLOSE MOOLOOLABA BEACH HOLIDAY PARK THAT IS ON QLD GOVERNMENT OWNED LAND WHEN QLD GOVERNMENT POLICY STATES: THAT ANY CARAVAN PARK ON STATE OWNED LAND WILL NOT BE SHUT DOWN AND WILL BE PRESERVED FOR CAMPING AND CARAVANING.

Was this development plan ever to become a reality or just political lies to get community support to close the Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park. The "Image Statement" clearly shows the Local Fancy Rich People's attitude that "Working Class Aussie's and Families" are not welcome as part of their snobbish tourism image for Mooloolaba. Sunshine Coast Council should hang their heads in shame for letting this happen and turning Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park into a Car Park for these Local Fancy Rich People's resorts & businesses and wasting the loss of approx $2400 a day in public revenue.

Will the Sunshine Coast Council star in the next remake. Storyline of the closure and filmed at Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park.

It seems that our treasured Caravan Park will just become a carpark. I believe Aria resorts have withdrawn support and most elements of the plans are absolute lunacy in a cyclone prone location. The final outcome will be a tragic loss of Mooloolaba Heritage. A shamefull act by Sunshine Coast Council.

"For many years in the late 1800s and early 1900s, 'Mooloolah Heads', as it was known, was basically the private seaside suburb of Buderim's farmers."For a couple of decades about the turn of the century, there were probably no permanent residents. "This was not to say it was deserted all year, as over Christmas and Easter it came alive with over 100 people camping under canvas."

35,000 KM of Australian Coastline but few 200 metres sections would have the historical significance of the Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park.
The QLD Sunshine Coast Council have approved the push by resort operators to bulldoze the Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park. This is a priceless treasure for Mooloolaba and the Sunshine Coast and it must be saved. Trip Advisor comments already rate Mooloolaba Beach as a perfect five star tourist destination so the “Image Statement” arguments by Sunshine Coast Council Tourism is nonsense. Over 100 yrs ago it was campers who started Mooloolaba as a Tourist destination. Closing this park will be like killing Great Grandpa.
