We are often asked about the weather in the Highlands & what guests can expect - safe to say that’s a hard one to answer!! This was Sally-Ann on Christmas Day doing our dog walk in a T-shirt (maybe 14 C or 57 F) & in a padded ‘super suit’ yesterday, 2nd January (at -6 C or 21 F 🥶)!!

We know some of you are saying ‘a T-shirt when it’s only 14 degrees’!!!?! But with some sunshine & no wind, it makes a big difference!

Our recommendation, always bring layers & a waterproof coat!! And we can provide waterproof trousers & rubber boots, if you require them.

Today, Kylesku is famous for its bridge but did you know that during WW2 it was the training ground for a secret mission to sink the Battleship ‘Turpitz’. Men were trained here to pilot mini submarines and the war memorial remembers the death of 40 of those men who perished in these vessels.
