परमा एकादशी व्रत कथा (Parama Ekadashi Vrat Katha)

काम्पिल्य नगरी में सुमेधा नाम का एक ब्राह्मण और उसकी पत्नी रहते हैं. ब्राह्मण बहुत धर्मात्या था और पत्नी भी पवित्र एवं पतिव्रता थी. लेकिन पूर्व में किए किसी पाप के कारण दंपती गरीबी में अपना जीवन व्यतीत कर रहे थे. कभी-कभी तो ब्राह्मण को भिक्षा भी नहीं मिलती थी और दंपति को भूखे पेट ही सोना पड़ता था. दोनों पति-पत्न घोर निर्धनता में अपना जीवन बिता रहे थे.

तब एक दिन ब्राह्मण ने अपनी पत्नी से कहा: हे प्रिय! जब मैं धनवानों से धन की याचना करता हूं तो वे मना कर देते हैं. गृहस्थी धन के बिना नहीं चल सकती. इसलिए तुम्हारी सहमति हो तो मैं परदेस जाकर कुछ धन कमाऊं. ब्राह्मण की पत्नी ने कहा, हे स्वामी! अगर कोई दान नहीं करता तो प्रभु ही उसे अन्न देते हैं, इसलिए आपको इसी स्थान पर रहना चाहिए. मैं भी आपका विछोह नहीं सह सकती. पति बिना स्त्री की माता, पिता, भाई, श्वसुर और सगे-सम्बंधी सभी उसकी निंदा करते हैं. इसलिए स्वामी कृपा करके आप कहीं न जाएं, जो भाग्य में होगा, हमें वह यहीं से प्राप्त हो जाएगा.

पत्नी की सलाह मानकर ब्राह्मण वहीं रुक गया और परदेश नहीं गया. इसी तरह ब्राह्मण दंपती गरीबी में अपना जीवन बिताते रहे. कुछ समय बाद वहां कौण्डिन्य ऋषि आए. ऋषि को देखकर दंपति ने उन्हें प्रणाम किया और बोले, आज आपके दर्शन से हम धन्य हो गए और हमारा जीवन सफल हुआ. दंपति ने ऋषि को आसन दिया और भोजन का प्रबंध किया. इसके बाद ब्राह्मण की पत्नि के ऋषि से कहा- हे ऋषिवर! कृपा करके आप हमें दरिद्रता नाश करने की कोई विधि व उपाय बताइए. मैंने अपने पति को परदेश जाकर धन कमाने से रोका है. भाग्य से आप भी यहां आ गए. मुझे पूरा विश्वास है कि, अब हमारी दरिद्रता जल्द ही नष्ट हो जाएगी.

कौण्डिन्य ऋषि बोले, मलमास की कृष्ण पक्ष की परमा एकादशी के व्रत से सभी पाप, दुख और दरिद्रता आदि नष्ट हो जाते हैं. इस व्रत को विधिपूर्वक करने से व्यक्ति धनवान होता है. क्योंकि यह एकादशी धन-वैभव देती है और पापों का नाश करती है. धनाधिपति कुबेर ने भी इस एकादशी का व्रत किया था, जिससे प्रसन्न होकर भगवान भोलेनाथ ने उन्हें धनाध्यक्ष का पद दिया. इतना ही नहीं इसी व्रत के प्रभाव से सत्यवादी राजा हरिश्चन्द्र को भी पुत्र, स्त्री और राज्य की प्राप्ति हुई थी.

इसके बाद कौण्डिन्य ऋषि ने दंपति को परमा एकादशी व्रत के विधान बताए. ऋषि ने कहा, परमा एकादशी के दिन सुबह नित्य कर्म से निवृत्त होकर पंचरात्रि व्रत आरंभ करना चाहिए. जो पांच दिन तक निर्जल व्रत करते हैं, वे अपने माता-पिता और स्त्री सहित स्वर्ग लोक को जाते हैं. जो पांच दिन तक केवल संध्या भोजन करते हैं, वे स्वर्ग को जाते हैं, जो स्नान करके पांच दिन तक ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराते हैं, वे समस्त संसार को भोजन कराने का पुण्य पाते हैं, जो इस व्रत में अश्व दान करते हैं उन्हें तीनों लोकों को दान करने का फल मिलता है, जो ब्राह्मण को तिल दान करते हैं वे तिल की संख्या के बराबर वर्षो तक विष्णुलोक में वास करते हैं, जो मनुष्य घी का पात्र दान करते हैं वह सूर्य लोक को जाते हैं, जो पांच दिन तक ब्रह्मचर्यपूर्वक रहते हैं वे देवांगनाओं के साथ स्वर्ग को जाते हैं. तुम भी अपने पति के साथ इस व्रत को करो. इससे तुम्हें अवश्य ही जीवन में सिद्धि और मरणोपरांत स्वर्ग की प्राप्ति होगी.

कौण्डिन्य ऋषि के कहेनुसार, ब्राह्मण और उसकी पत्नी ने अधिक मास की परमा एकादशी का पांच दिन तक व्रत किया. व्रत पूरा होने के बाद ब्राह्मण की पत्नी ने अपने घर पर एक राजकुमार को आते देखा. राजकुमार ने ब्रह्माजी की प्रेरणा से उसे सभी वस्तुओं से परिपूर्ण एक उत्तम घर दिया और आजीविका के लिए एक गांव भी दिया. इस तरह से दंपति की गरीबी दूर हो गई और धरती पर सुख भोगने के बाद उन्हें श्रीविष्णु के लोक में स्थान प्राप्त हुआ

🌸"ब्रज चौरासी-कोस यात्रा"🌸

*वराह पुराण* में वर्णन है कि पृथ्वी पर *66 अरब तीर्थ हैं* और वे सभी *चातुर्मास में बृज में आकर निवास करते हैं।* यही वजह है कि व्रज यात्रा करने वाले इन दिनों यहां खिंचे चले आते हैं। *हजारों-लाखों श्रद्धालु बृज के वनों में डेरा डाले रहते हैं।* बृजभूमि की यह पौराणिक यात्रा हजारों साल पुरानी है। *चालीस दिन में पूरी होने वाली* बृज चौरासी कोस यात्रा का उल्लेख *पुराण व श्रुति ग्रंथ-संहिता में भी है।* कृष्ण की बाल क्रीड़ाओं से ही नहीं, *सतयुग में भक्त ध्रुव ने यही आकर नारद जी से गुरू मंत्र लेकर अखंड तपस्या की व बृज परिक्रमा की थी।*

त्रेतायुग में प्रभु राम के लघु भ्राता शत्रुघ्न ने मधु पुत्र लवणासुर को मार कर बृज परिक्रमा की थी।

ब्रज की 84 कोस की परिक्रमा का बहुत महत्व है, *बृज भूमि भगवान श्रीकृष्ण एवं उनकी शक्ति राधा रानी की लीला भूमि है।* इस परिक्रमा के बारे में वारह पुराण में बताया गया है कि पृथ्वी पर 66 अरब तीर्थ हैं और वे *सभी चातुर्मास में बृज में आकर निवास करते हैं।* कृष्ण की लीलाओं से जुड़े हैं 1100 सरोवरें।

बृज चौरासी कोस की परिक्रमा *मथुरा के अलावा राजस्थान और हरियाणा के होडल जिले के गांवों से होकर गुजरती है।* करीब 268 किलोमीटर परिक्रमा मार्ग में परिक्रमार्थियों के विश्राम के लिए *25 पड़ावस्थल हैं।* इस पूरी परिक्रमा में करीब 1300 के आसपास गांव पड़ते हैं। *कृष्ण की लीलाओं से जुड़ी 1100 सरोवरें, 36 वन-उपवन, पहाड़-पर्वत पड़ते हैं।* इस यात्रा मार्ग में 12 वन, 24 उपवन, चार कुंज, चार निकुंज, चार वनखंडी, चार ओखर, चार पोखर, 365 कुण्ड, चार सरोवर, दस कूप, चार बावरी, चार तट, चार वटवृक्ष, पाॅंच पहाड़, चार झूला, 33 स्थल रास लीला के तो हैं ही, *इनके अलावा कृष्णकालीन अन्य स्थल भी हैं।* चौरासी कोस यात्रा मार्ग मथुरा में ही नहीं, *अलीगढ़, भरतपुर, गुड़गांव, फरीदाबाद की सीमा तक में पड़ता है, लेकिन इसका अस्सी फीसदी हिस्सा मथुरा में है।* बालकृष्ण की लीलाओं के साक्षी उन स्थल और देवालयों के दर्शन भी परिक्रमार्थी करते हैं, जिनके दर्शन शायद पहले ही कभी किए हों। *परिक्रमा के दौरान श्रद्धालुओं को यमुना नदी को भी पार करना होता है।*

ज्यादातर यात्राएं *चैत्र, बैसाख मास में ही होती है* चतुर्मास या पुरुषोत्तम मास में नहीं। परिक्रमा यात्रा साल में एक बार *चैत्र पूर्णिमा से बैसाख पूर्णिमा तक ही निकाली जाती है।* कुछ लोग आश्विन माह में विजया दशमी के पश्चात शरद्काल में परिक्रमा आरम्भ करते हैं।

मान्यता है कि भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने *मैया यशोदा और नंदबाबा के दर्शनों के लिए सभी तीर्थों को बृज में ही बुला लिया था।* 84 कोस की परिक्रमा लगाने से 84 लाख योनियों से छुटकारा पाने के लिए है। *परिक्रमा लगाने से एक-एक कदम पर जन्म-जन्मांतर के पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं।* शास्त्रों में यह भी कहा गया है कि इस परिक्रमा के करने वालों को *एक-एक कदम पर अश्वमेध यज्ञ का फल मिलता है।* साथ ही जो व्यक्ति इस परिक्रमा को लगाता है, उस व्यक्ति को निश्चित ही *मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है।*

*गर्ग संहिता* में कहा गया है कि यशोदा मैया और नंद बाबा ने *भगवान श्री कृष्ण से 4 धाम की यात्रा की इच्छा जाहिर की साथ ही में गंगा स्नान की भी,* परमपावनी यमुना में तो नित्य प्रति स्नान होता ही था किंतु गंगा स्नान की अभिलाषा है तो भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने कहा कि *मैं आपके लिए यहीं सभी तीर्थों और चारों धामों को आह्वान कर बुला देता हूॅं।* उसी समय से केदरनाथ और बद्रीनाथ भी यहाॅं मौजूद हो गए। *84 कोस के अंदर राजस्थान की सीमा पर मौजूद पहाड़ पर केदारनाथ का मंदिर है।* इसके अलावा गुप्त काशी, यमुनोत्री और गंगोत्री के भी दर्शन यहाॅं श्रद्धालुओं को होते हैं। *तत्पश्चात यशोदा मैया व नन्द बाबा ने उनकी परिक्रमा की।* *तभी से बृज में चौरासी कोस की परिक्रमा की शुरुआत मानी जाती है।*
