The New Mexico tour of Zimbabwe chef Mhlelusizo Ncube is off to a great start. Coming up—meeting with Isleta Pueblo stock raisers, speaking in Santa Fe about Revolutionizing African Food and three days at Zuni with A:Shiwi Tribal College culinary students.
And now I’m beginning to work towards bringing the next Indigenous chef to New Mexico—Guatemalan Maya chef Santos Canel.
Here is some information about him. The ultimate goal—an annual international Indigenous culinary festival and trade show which will showcase Indigenous chefs and Indigenous food producers from around the world.
