Fuhrer, Folk and Fatherland Fuhrer, Folk and Fatherland is a novel by Douglas Gagel. This is a true story -- a rare, first-hand account of one soldier's experiences during the Third Reich.

It is a true account of his father's experience serving as an officer in the Third Reich during the Second World War. It is also a love story, for amid the strife and devastation of war, Albin Gagel found the love of his life. Captivating from start to finish, this account offers an uncommon insight into what most Germans really thought about Hi**er and his regime -- and it's not quite what the wa

rtime newsreels portrayed. The book is available in Chapters stores across London. Alternatively, you can order the book online through Chapters or General Store Publishing House.

Hello people. Just to let you know we received 800 of my new book, entitled "intensive Care - A Love Story." It is the true story of Lynn's brain surgery, coma, and recovery over a two year period. So far the reviews have been excellent!
You can only get them from me (so far) as I want to get feedback before going to a publisher. Doug Gagel.

Hello fans.
We sold 108 FFF books at the Christmas Arts & Crafts Bazaar at the Western Fairgrounds. That is a new record. Seems the book's popularity is not diminishing at all. I am looking for a new publisher or I will have to print more myself as we have sold almost 4,700 books to date!

Hello Everyone.
I am booked to make a presentation to the HMCS Prevost on Becher Street on Wednesday October 18 at 7:00 pm. That feels like Father's story has made it into a rival "Allied Camp." I am rapidly running out of books and will need to find another publisher before the end of the year.

Hello everyone.
Lynn and I returned from a very successful trip to Ottawa. We sold 21 books at the Militaria Show in the Nepean Sportsplex. We met Norm Christie, who had the table next to ours, the narrator of the "King and Country" TV show which documents Canadian military exploits in World Wars One and Two, as well as the Korean War. A very knowledgeable man, and obviously an excellent person as he bought one of my books.

We also attended an author signing for my book with German heritage club, masterminded by Max Bork, which was very much fun as well as productive. Excellent people.

We found a designer, Mag Carson, to help create an electronic version of the book, something beyond my limited on-line knowledge. She also took a copy of the draft for Lynn's story, about her battle for survival in a Toronto hospital in 2007, and promised to provide some assistance. Mag is the best book designer ever.

things look promising for me finding another publisher. In the meantime, I still have about 400 books in my basement. D-t d-t d-t d-that's all folks.

Hello fans.
Lynn and I attended the Lambeth United Church Bazaar in their parking lot last Saturday with a table selling my book, and we sold 16! That was an excellent day. We also had three people come by our table who had read the book and commented on what a great read it was. We plan to be at the German Canadian Club on the weekend of November 13 - 15, and the Arts & Crafts Show at the Fairground's Progress Building the weekend of December 4 - 6.

We just returned from holiday in Nova Scotia. Not to miss an opportunity, we sold two books in Halifax, and...the Halifax Library now has one. We are now coast to coast.

Hey fans. We attended the Authors Book Fair in Port Dover last Sunday. I was impressed as to how well my book was received. We sold 14 copies and met a lot of fine people. I am looking for a new publisher, not only to reprint Dad's story, but alos to take on the publishing and disribution of Lynn's stroy, my new book. Cheers, Doug.

Hey everyone. My publisher just declared bankruptcy, so I picked up all my remaining books— only 800 left! If anyone wants a book before I find a new publisher, please contact me directly, as the bookstores outside of London cannot order them anymore. Cheers, Doug ([email protected])

We were at a Military Show at the Ontario Regimental Museum in Oshawa on May 31, which inlcuded a re-enactment of a World War II battle, complete with real tanks and real firing (blanks.only). I had never been to one of these befoere and it was quite impressive. We sold 17 books and had a great time. Many of the people that stopped at our table knew their history, and were quite knowledgable about World War II. I again received excellent compliments on my book from people who had read it.
