Karamū High School students have just returned from a fantastic tour to Japan! Tokyo was a cultural and a visual treat for all the students as they made their way around Tokyo Tower, Sendooji temple and Akihabara. A day at Disneyland was exhausting but so much fun!! Flying to Kobe for a sister school reunion was a completely different experience from the fast-paced city experience. Hiroshima was wet but exciting as the group visited the Miyajima Island and spent some time shopping at Hondiri Shopping Street. Trying out okonomiyaki for the first time (for many students) was yum!! 😋
The atmosphere at Fushimi Inari was so special and unique with its vermilion torii gates. Watching Mount Fuji as the group took the Shinkansen to Tokyo for the return flight was the perfect ending to an amazing tour. We thank the teachers for giving us the opportunity to arrange this tour for the school!!! 🥳🤩

The Christchurch Girls’ High School has been enjoying a fun and enriching language and culture immersion trip to France over the past few weeks and students are all smiles as they pause in front of famous Paris landmarks, a Louvre masterpiece, a Normand patisserie where they learned to make macarons, and of course, many French cafés and restaurants! Miam Miam! 🥖🧀🍰

Seeing students enjoy what we have spent months meticulously planning truly is the best gift for our team!

Enjoy your time on the French Riviera, girls, and keep practicing your French language skills with the locals! Vive la France! 🇫🇷

🌟What a trip it’s been! 🥳

ABBEY Language Travel was delighted to welcome its Australian and New Zealand delegates back home last week after a very successful trip to Geneva for the Lycée Ferney Voltaire FerMUN Conference! 600 delegates from 22 countries met at the International Labor Organisation (ILO) in Geneva for 3 days of debates in committees, on the model of the famous United Nations, and discussed issues related to worker’s rights, governments duties and other labor-related topics. It was a fascinating 3 days and a chance for students to meet Ambassadors, Representatives of UN agencies and get a good taste of diplomacy, not to mention develop their network!

This fantastic experience was enhanced by a rich program of French lessons, homestay in local French families and cultural visits to the Red Cross, the World Health Organisation, the New Zealand Embassy and the CERN, all this under several inches of thick snow, for a truly memorable, unique tour!
