Hello October!
"We do not escape into philosophy, psychology and art - we go there to restore our shattered selves into the whole ones!" ~ Anaïs Nin
When out of balance we only have eye for our lesser part. We tend to forget that we are so much more. While we long for a wholeness we tend to shatter the different selves we are made of.

Henrick.John Lilanga’s sketches against richly decorated and finely patterned backgrounds are found throughout his work. Dense and intricate, his work becomes a sort of beautiful arabesque.

Henrick ‘John’ Lilanga is famous Tanzanian artist George Lilanga’s grandson. The result of having had George Lilanga as a tutor, however, is ambiguous as despite an apparent influence from Lilanga senior, John has developed his own style.
Henrick John Lilanga is most comfortable using a combination of ink and watercolours on paper and has refined this technique to a great level of success.
