Behind the scenes - getting ready for summer season 2024. What I am showing you here is going on all over the island. It’s exciting but hard work. This week has seen us make all new outdoor covers for sunbeds, dining chairs, w**d, plant new shrubs. I have made lemon curd, lemon marmalade and filled little oil containers(our own olive oil) ready for welcome packs.

June is a lovely month here on Zakynthos. Waters are crystal clear, perfect for boat trips to Shipwreck Beach, the most photographed beach in the world. There are medieval festivals with horse jousting and feasting and it’s a great time to hire a transparent canoe and go turtle spotting. Alternatively- you could just lie on the beach or by the pool with a good book and ice cold cocktail.
Zakynthos is 41/2 hours by plane from the UK and you will not find beaches or aquamarine water any better by travelling to the Caribbean so why not spend less time on a plane and more time swimming. Zakynthos the island of dreams.
And yes- that is Shirley Ballas from Strictly who I had the pleasure of escorting around the island.

We remember how unfair we often thought the cost of accommodation was during the school summer holidays so from 19th July right the way through to 20th September we decided to not only include air conditioning which most holiday properties charge minimum €10 per night per room but also include the local holiday tax and give the best possible rate for amazing accommodation.Family holidays, making memories is so important.

Good Morning from a beautiful sunny Zakynthos.
Today I am going to start taking you on a journey around the island that you cannot only watch but also follow on a map. Each time I post I will update the map, this should help anyone who hasn’t been to Zante understand the different and diverse geography of the island and decide where you would like to visit. So, we are starting from The Olive Pickers and going across the mountains. Enjoy.

Have you thought about visiting two beautiful Greek islands on the same holiday? During the main holiday season you can visit Kefalonia by boat from Agios Nikolas, it takes just one hour 45 minutes. A week in Zakynthos and a week in Kefalonia and fly home from Kefalonia.
What about adding 3 days in Athens, visit the Acropolis and Olympia. Flights twice a day from Zakynthos at approximately €70 or if you prefer travel by bus and ferry for approximately €38, on this bus you will pass the beautiful Corinthian Canal.
