Beatrix would like to say happy 150th birthday to her namesake and human heroine, Beatrix Potter, a lady whose life and work continue to inspire a great many women, nature lovers, scientists, conservationists and of course, lovers of stories all over the world.

We're off out in the rain to feed the puddle ducks.

Hello folks! I'm back from my Scottish adventure, and am putting my Etsy shop into holiday mode while I take on a double house move. I can still be contacted about button commissions during this time, but please note that lead times may be longer than usual. Once I'm back up and running I'll have a space especially for creating lots more buttons, so I hope you'll pop in at my shop then! I can't wait to make otter, seal, puffin and stag buttons!

In the meantime, I'll be staying in touch both here and via my blog, and I'd like to thank you for your continued support :)

I have arrived on the Isle of Skye, and I have WiFi, hurrah! (Or boo, depending on how you look at it). A very happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandfathers and super awesome father figures! It's my dad's first father's day without a dad of his own, so he gets an extra special pint later, and we're off with our cameras to check up on all the proud feathered fathers and their broods at our local nature reserve. Have a lovely day!

Hello everyone! It's been nearly three months, but as of this evening I finally have a working oven again! Not only does this mean that I have Yorkshire puds and roast potatoes in my near future, but it also means I'm back in business on the button front, hurray! I can't wait to get making one-off creations again - watch this space!

Doesn't this photo make you smile? This is Flea, on our lovely mutual friend's wedding day last year. I was lucky enough to be asked to make button brooches as button holes and wedding favours, and I think the photographer Fiona Oliver Photography caught this moment perfectly! I'll share another buttony image later on in the week.

If you happen to live within a stone's throw of South Yorkshire, it would be fantastic to see as many of you as possible at this event in Sheffield's Millennium Galleries, where i'll be selling my handmade buttons and button-related wares. I popped in at the Christmas edition of this market, and was really impressed by the different handmade wonders on offer. Hope to get the chance to meet some of you then :)
