TRAFFIC CHANGES IN FREDERICKSBURG 🚓🚗

Be prepared for new traffic patterns as TxDOT wraps up a major milling, paving, and restriping project on Main Street. The project, which spans from Cristol Drive on the east side of town to the intersection of Highways 290 West and 87 North on the west side, is set for completion by the end of next week.

One of the most significant changes will be the conversion of North Washington Street into a one-way northbound street, running from Main Street to Austin Street. This adjustment is aimed at reducing traffic delays on the south side of Washington Street, where vehicles often back up while waiting to turn left onto Main Street. In addition, the current parallel parking spaces along the west side of Washington Street will be converted to angled parking, adding six new parking spots to the area.

Stay alert for these changes and plan accordingly to navigate the updated traffic flow.
