Some friends are getting ready for a big overseas PCS move and will be putting their house up for rent. (They're going to Germany! Oh how I miss it.)

I've been without my computer for the past week, and it's been glorious. I went on a little getaway to South Carolina so I could breathe, focus and renew myself. And in that time I've been able to discover ways for me to revamp my work and move forward.
So, beginning as soon as possible, I'll be offering products printed from professional labs, including albums, canvases and prints! I'm excited to take this step, and I hope it's something clients will love as much as I will.

One thing that is so amusing to me is how everyone seems to have a "good side" that just photographs better than the other—I know I do! And it's the same side as these gorgeous ladies. Anyone else have a more photogenic right side?

Took a headshot for my husband. Big life changes are on the way, as he has decided to end his military career and forge a new path, so a professional headshot was needed.

FINALLY picked up my camera again. While my husband was deployed I was in survival mode, consumed by making it through each day with my sanity mostly in tact and my kids mostly happy. It was such a nice break to have reason to pick up my camera again this holiday season, taking our family New Years card.

Rugby!
I had the great fortune of being invited to shoot a rugby match by Emilie, who works out at the same Crossfit gym. She's a former rugby player and now a ref, and it was awesome to see her in that environment.

And one more quick update from the photo walk on Sunday. Here's Mona Moxie; she was such a great sport considering it was only about 55 degrees and quite windy, but she never complained once. Meanwhile, I was shaking like a leaf in my jeans and hoodie! I'm not made for the cold!

Got the chance to go to a "photo walk" up in Raleigh, hosted by Chris Cheek Photography. It was a great experience to meet so many local photographers and models!
And not only is Brianna gorgeous, but she's also a kick-ass woman in the Air Force.

And here's one of the only photos I got of Lillian in the milk bath before she proceeded to FREAK OUT because a flower touched her. Never mind that during the entire shoot with Jamie she fussed to be put in and kept pulling flowers out.

I've decided to embark on a 52-week venture of taking one self-portrait per week, either of just me or of me with the kiddos. I figure it'll give me material to practice editing with, and it's honestly the best shot I have of getting regular photos with Theo and Lillian.
Here's an image from today. While Matthew and Lillian napped, Theo and I played in the playroom. He is my toddler tornado who rocks my world daily. I love him dearly—I could just do without the spitting!

Today was quite the experiment for me.
I had seen the new maternity photo craze of milk baths, and they were SO beautiful that I had to give them a shot (pun not intended!) Luckily for me, I again have a beautiful friend who was willing to model for me.
And guys, I am OBSESSED. Even with the distractions of our toddlers' hands pulling at flowers and touching the milky water, the photos turned out beautifully. So if anyone in the Ft. Bragg area would like a session like this (which we can customize to your preferences of flowers, colors, etc), don't hesitate to send me a message!
