One of our weekly excursions is the tour to the Tavoro Waterfall. Situated in the 15,000-hectare Bouma National Heritage Park, this guided 3-hour return hike starts with a ten-minute walk to Tavoro Falls, the largest waterfall in the park. Here, you can swim and cool off before a more strenuous and scenic hike to the second waterfalls in the most epic surroundings. Occasionally, you must cross over a creek, but there is a rope to help navigate the rocks. After your hike, enjoy a packed lunch beneath an open canyon surrounded by the island's unique flora and fauna.

Matagi Island Resort, The Traditional Custodians and Civa Fiji Pearls have partnered to launch a reef rehabilitation program around the islands of Qamea and Taveuni. We are building coral baskets and deploying them in selected depleted area of the reef in order to promote coral growth and created new habitats for marine life. Your support and donation would be greatly appreciated. On behalf of the local Villages of the Wainikeli-Bouma district, 'vinaka vakalevu'!
