Entertaining the masses is cool but there is truly nothing more rewarding than working on projects that I like to term as “legacy work”, that is, work that is enriching and educational for the culture, work that stands through the tests of time - work that your seeds can look at years from now and proudly say, “my Daddy did that”.

It is so easy to get lost in the world of tech nowadays in search of “that one tool” that is going to make the world of difference in one’s career/activities.

“If only I had…” is the number one killer of what matters most, LEARNING.

When and started the production of Killa Shot, there were so many variables that could have distracted from the mission of “just making something people can enjoy, actively”.

One camera, two simple lights and libraries of brain power. Bingo.

Ok, ok, so there is also, vision, market research, an excessive amount of caffeinated drinks, coordination of schedules, learning when one has gone to far then scaling back, sleepless nights, etc, etc, you get the picture.

Forget everything you “need” to get started and just get started; you can tie your laces along the way.

This song is such a great mash up of poetic vibes. 🎼❤️

Fun fact: My creative journey started in poetry. I wrote my first poem, “Mommy Is”at age nine. By the time I was age 12 and attending primary school in Cameroon, West Africa I was a bonafide entrepreneur, writing love letters for school mates to help them pursue their puppy loves.❤️😂 Word around campus was “Michael has great handwriting and a way with words”.

Often times classmates thought I bought lunch frequently because my Mom was sending “those American dollars”, but no, I just hustled lol.

Not much has changed today.🙂

I remember when John Brooks] and I first started talking about this song. He came to me and said, “bro, I have an idea” (it always starts like that lol).

He played the music for his new song “Hue” and began singing the idea for the chorus he had in mind. Almost instantly, I started penning (at least in my mind) the multitude of ideas that came flowing in; I mean the music is so good it is literally edible.

The song was already awesome before any of us recorded our vocals for it but a new level of creativity and inspiration was sparked after receiving vocals from . My goodness, a new level indeed! (And he said it was just a “little something-something”, sheesh!)

The point of this story is to remember to share time and space with people that uplift you and (kindly) nudge you into your greatness.

Be thankful for great teammates!
