Ryogenin temple is famous for its tsuboniwa (tiny garden) named “Totekiko garden(東滴壺)”.
It’s one of the smallest stone garden in Japan. The small limited space of 1.5m wide and 5m long creates an infinite amount of space and time.
The zen style garden can be freely interpreted and inspired by the viewer.
Common interpretations is as below...
This garden is said to represent a drop of water that falls to the surface of the water and spreads out in ripples.
Just as a very small drop of water gathers together to form a river that eventually becomes a large river that moistens the sea. This garden shows us the importance of the accumulation of small things.
Next time you come to around here, please drop by this garden and find your interpretation.

Mikane shrine(御金神社) is famous for its golden torii door.
As a shrine to metals, especially money, many people come to pay their respects to the shrine to wish for success in their business, as well as to bet on horse races and win lottery tickets.

There is a ginkgo tree behind the shrine's main building that is over 200 years old.
The leaves of the ginkgo tree are thought to be a symbol of prosperity because of its spreading shape.
The golden color of the leaves in autumn also reminds people of GOLD.
That's why the Ema* in this shrine is designed in the shape of a ginkgo tree.
(*Ema are wooden plaques that people write their prayers or wishes on)

We donated an Ema and wish you good fortune and prosperity!
