🤪While sailing on my very first Disney Cruise Line ship, I made the mistake of not booking a placeholder while onboard! I thought, I love this experience, but I am not sure when it will fit in our schedule again and I’ll just book later at full price.
🤦♀️Almost immediately after stepping off the ship I regretted this decision 100% and knew I wouldn’t make this mistake again! ( and spoiler, I haven’t 😉 )
🚢📲Placeholders are available via the Navigator app while on board a Disney Cruise Line ship. It is Disney’s future cruise booking offer. You are putting money down to hold the place for a future cruise and in return you will get a 10% savings on the posted cruise fare when you lock in your next cruise.
🤷♀️How does this work? A $250 deposit is paid while still sailing on your current vacation. You receive a reservation number and can book a future sailing that occurs within the next 24 months, receive 10% off the cruise fare, and get fully refunded your $250 if you choose to cancel. You’ll also have the opportunity to choose to use your Travel Advisor again on your next sailing.

One of my favorite locations to stay on Walt Disney World property is the Boardwalk area. There are several resorts located in this area and for this runDisney birthday weekend, I decided to book a water view room at Disney’s Yacht Club.
We were given a bit of pixie dust and placed in a corner room and as you can see we had tons of space! The only request I had put in for was a high floor, so this was really nice, especially on Marathon weekend, which is super busy.
Here’s a few of MY favorite reasons to stay at a deluxe resort in this area:
10 minute walk to Epcot
15 minute walk to Hollywood Studios
Skyliner access to Hollywood Studios
Skyliner access to other resorts for dining options
Exclusive access to extended evening hours
Several table service restaurants at the resort
Balcony or Patios ( in most rooms )
