Tiger's Nest, Paro, Bhutan

Stage 1 dr basecamp kita bisa di bantu dengan naik kuda poni, setelah itu all the way jalan kaki.. tetapi percayalah ALL IS WORTH IT, fresh air, pemandangan yg sangat indah... air terjun ditebing kuil.. semua menakjubkan
5 kali saya hiding up to tigernest; pertanyaan yg sering sy dengar " Gel, KENAPA BHUTAN GA BANGUN CABLE CAR?"
In life utk kita mendapatkan sesuatu kita harus berkorban, baik itu waktu, tenaga dan bahkan materi disini saya belajar utk JANGAN MENYERAH, sama halnya dgn tigernest.. kita tidak akan menghargai suatu pencapain jika didapatkan dengan mudah...
So enjoy while it last
Yuk tunggu apalagi mari

Punakha Dzong - Up & Close Encounter with this beautiful Dzong [aka: palace / fortress]. Punakha Dzong is considered the second oldest and the second largest located in Punakha District, Bhutan ~ the happiest country in the world.
Punakha Dzong ever functioned as rhe seat and administrative center of the Givernment of Bhutan until 1955 before the capital was later moved to Thimphu. In some period of early May, beautiful jacaranda trees blossom with their purple flowers. To view this elegant dzong, one must stay and hike on the hill across the river. Why Bhutan becomes the HAPPIEST COUNTRY ?

1. The inspiring Gross National Happiness model

When Bhutan opened itself for outsiders, The king believed that people’s happiness does not depend on the nation’s economic possessions. Buddhist values
"ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO FOCUS MORE ON WHAT THEY HAVE THAT WHAT THEY DON'T ". Perhaps, this is why people are extremely friendly, gentle and hospitable.

2. The philosophy of life is Saving environment

Conservation of the environment is one of the pillars of their happiness index.
In Bhutan, Apart from mathematics and science, children are taught environment protection ,basic agriculture techniques and Bhutan believed that
" TEACHING KIDS TO BE GOOD PEOPLE IS AS IMPORTANT AS GETTING GOOD GRADE "

3. Love to preserve their culture

They love to wear their graceful and traditional garbs at all times and Another exemplary way for Bhutanese to keep their tradition alive is their arts and crafts

4. Bhutanese are on good terms with death

So surprise that Bhutanese think about death at least five times a day.
According to them, thinking about death relieves you from external expectations. It helps you encounter problems and make the big choices in life. Also, some researchers say that when people contemplate death,
" THEIR MINF AUTOMATICALLY SEARCH FOR HAPPY THOUGHT"

Paro International Airport ( PBH )
is The tiny airport nestled among the steep mountains of the Himalayas is said to be
THE MOST CHALLENGING in the world,
where few pilots are qualified to fly into the
" LAND OF THE THUNDER DRAGON "

FACTs about flying into Bhutan

1. Paro International Airport is 1.5 miles above sea level and surrounded by sharp peaks of up to 18,000ft tall. In contrast, the airport lies at an elevation of 7,364 ft.

2. The runway is only 7,431 ft long above factors demand the pilot to be very precise when landing.

3. While most airports offer at least 10 nautical miles (that’s about 18km) of distance for pilots to gauge the most aligned approach onto the landing strip, this airport accords JUST ONE TO TWO NAUTICAL MILES – which literally means that " THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM FO ERROR "

4.Strong winds whip through the valleys, often resulting in severe turbulence

5. Flights are only allowed during the daytime and UNDER VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS - strict light allowances in which the pilot must make his judgements by eye rather than rely on instruments as is the case in nighttime flights.

Lets pack your bags and visit Bhutan LIFETIME EXPERIENCE

How Bhutan become "CARBON NEGATIVE COUNTRY " While many nations are struggling to reduce their carbon emissions
Bhutan's ability to be a net carbon sink is
1). Most people work in agriculture or forestry which means it emits less than 2.5 million tons of CO2 each year. Luxembourg, for example, with a smaller population, emits four times as much
2). Implementation of "Gross National Happiness," which places great emphasis on the protection of the country's rich natural environment.
3).Bhutan is the only country in the world that by its own constitution protects its forests. Means 70 % land in Bhutan covered by forest
4). almost all the country's electricity comes from hydropower. By selling hydroelectricity to neighboring countries, which Bhutan claims offsets another 4.4 million tons of annual CO2 emissions.
5). Bhutan even limits the number of visitors entering the country with a daily fee of $250 per person to ensure the environment is not spoiled by mass tourism

Towards the closing of the Royal address last evening, as His Majesty took a deep sigh, preceded by an overpowering pause, a unique realisation dawned upon me.
Here is a King who has immense solicitude for his people and the country, a feeling individuals like you and I can never comprehend, let alone come close to it. Mere thought sends a piercing chill deep within.
The trust and confidence His Majesty placed on the government to pacify sufferings of every Bhutanese affected in the times of coronavirus was so evident.
Today, putting together the two palms, I on behalf of the government and the people of Bhutan, pledge to work selflessly to fulfill aspirations of His Majesty and meet the expectations, even if it means putting ones life on the line.
We will live up to the definition of being a Bhutanese, under the loving and compassionate King.
As excerpt from Prime Minister’s statement on BBS television
