"Escogí MEDLIFE porque sabía que con esta organización podía continuar haciendo servicio comunitario y vivir experiencias únicas. Una de estas fue el viaje a Riobamba, Ecuador el cual cambió mi vida por completo. Nunca pensé que tendría el privilegio de ir a otro país a trabajar y conocer personas tan hermosas. En cada comunidad vimos como estas personas demostraban unos valores admirables. Estas personas me demostraron que todo lo que necesitamos en nuestra vida para poder ser felices es empatía, humildad y ganas de progresar. Todas estas personas caminan largas distancias para ir a la escuela, a trabajar o a las mismas clínicas. A veces nos quejamos de nuestras vidas, pero ellos no tienen nada en comparación con nosotros y son más felices que nosotros. Fue increíble ver como cada comunidad es unida y se ayudan unos a otros sin importar nada. Ver como estos no tenían las palabras para agradecernos el tiempo que cada uno les dedicó atendiéndolos, hablándoles, jugando y ayudándolos. Ese fue el mejor regalo que ellos me pudieron dar. El viaje me hizo salir de mi mundo y ver como hay personas que tienen menos que yo, pero son más felices. A veces tenemos que dejar nuestras cosas a un lado y ver todo lo que está sucediendo en el mundo para darnos cuenta que realmente no necesitamos todo lo que tenemos para ser felices." 🇪🇨💙
